I don't see why you are picking a fight.
Fitz evidently knows the Scottish game very well. I have a couple of friends who support Scottish teams who have also mentioned some of the player Fitz has mentioned.

True, but that is the case for any player we have ever signed. Of the three you mention, I didn't know much about Thomson before he signed, but those who did said he was a good keeper. I think Hilly even said it was with reluctance he let Thomson go, as he couldn't keep both him and Dima.
Twaddle I had seen, but out on the left for Partick Thistle, where he was competent if not spectacular. What I did say was that he wasn't a centre half, which is what Eyre signed him as, and so it proved.
Bennett has been okay for us. Versatile.
The fact is, since I have been covering football in Scotland (full time between 2003 and 2008) I have seen comparatively few players that I have lauded between then and now. The standard is generally poor, as the stereotype suggests. Every now and then there are players who stand out and those are the ones I take interest in. Some maintain it, for some it was a one-off performance. | |
