Be very surprised if he gets a contract at a league club unless it's somewhere like Morecambe. The worst player in our squad last season for me. Maybe non league beckons or a return to Ireland.

I was chatting to someone through work who supports Derby County. He asked what areas we needed to strengthen over summer and I mentioned a few positions. Fully aware of McGinty, I still mentioned the centre half position. He mentioned Derby have just released a centre half called Valentin Gjokaj, who was on loan at Carlisle and Barnet last season. He said he is good, just not good enough for Derby, which, to be fair, isn’t bad given they just missed out on the Premiership. He said Gjokaj would probably find a League One club, as that’s his level.
I don’t know anything about this guy. Does anyone? Would he be good enough for Dale?
Also, as enough time has elapsed for me to assume it is nonsense, I was told early last month that we were nailed on to get Craig Davies on loan for the season from Bolton. I think if this was true, it would have happened by now. | |

I wasn't telling Hilly to sign him. I was asking for info about a centre half that someone I know mentioned as both available and League One standard.
