Haven't noticed much comment on Dale's next opponents. Mansfield's midweek defeat - https://www.skysports.com/football/mansfield-town-vs-bradford-city/468467 - means only one point gained from their last four league matches. But Nigel Clough knows how to bounce back (often, it seems, versus Dale).

With some six hours to kick-off there seems not to be much pre-match comment on this forum (apart from the ref's travel expenses).

Is Hendo due to play? Since being subbed on 11 September he's made no appearances. But ex-Dale Eastham and Lund look likely to start.

Whatever the results it's good to know that Dale will not be moving into the bottom four tonight.

Accy Stanley could do us a good turn by defeating Bristol Rovers who have a very slight chance of going above Dale. And Blackpool could help by taking the points vs Northampton.

Swindon vs Wigan? I'd settle for a draw.

A Charlton defeat at home to Pompey might have a hangover effect on Saturday's visit. And a Crewe win at Shrewsbury would leave the latter only a point above Dale.

Stockport C. vs Chesterfield

At half-time in tonight's replay that will decide Dale's FA Cup opponents, Stockport lead 2-0. A pity in a way as Dale would probably have stood a better chance of beating Chesterfield. Still, whichever side it is, the winners will face a big challenge to prepare for Saturday.
