Bye-bye, Barnet 17:30 - Apr 27 with 1384 viewsD_Dale

Ironic that Barnet, having dodged relegation so often in recent seasons, go down with 51 points - previously, always enough to survive.

Glad to see York's late rally. They looked doomed a few weeks ago, and it's a place where Dale have had some good results.

But we lose Rotherham for Lancs-Yorks derbies. Hope Bradford don't go up via the play-offs.

Division 4 was formed in 1958 from the bottom halves of the old Division 3 North and Division 3 South.

Of the 12 founder members of Division 4 from Division 3 North only York City are currently at Tier 4 level. Next season there will be one more of the founders in Tier 4, Hartlepool United.

Founder members of Division 4 from Division 3 North were:
Barrow, Bradford (Park Avenue), Carlisle United, Chester City, Crewe Alexandra, Darlington, Gateshead, Hartlepool United, Oldham Athletic, Southport, Workington, York City

Founder members of Division 4 from Division 3 South were:
Aldershot, Coventry City, Crystal Palace, Exeter City, Gillingham, Millwall, Northampton Town, Port Vale, Shrewsbury Town, Torquay United, Walsall, Watford

I thought Barnet were the worst side I saw at Spotland this season and I'm not surprised they've missed the cut. They were utterly woeful on the day.

New ground for them, for a new season. Wonder whether Edgar Davids will stick with them now.

One of those was during Hill's tenure but your point is still valid
