Apart from the obvious well done to those who keep turning up every week to be embarrassed, what iswrong with the fans? We cheer Ketchup like he's a hero. Didn't he go on strike, refuse to play, caused all sorts of problems for RM last season and the rest of it? He came on today, and got absolutely torn apart. The first goal was his fault.

Last week, our fans booed Smallbone, the guy who scored in the playoffs last season, always gives his best, been through the youth team, loves the club and he gets stick. I seem to remember some idiot posting about him last year not having any hair. He's not a great player, but are any of them??? Yet, Mr. I'm on strike gets a heroes welcome.

And then after a game we could easily have lost 10 nil, not a single bit of discontent against the people who are literally destroying the club. Do our fans not care? Arn't they angry? Well, apart from being very angry at one of our own. They certainly are at Spurs and Leicester. What club's fans would just put up with this every week? Perhaps the fans like the owners (after 2 relegations, 6 failed managers, 45 terrible signings), perhaps they think it's the managers fault, perhaps our fans are very very shy, perhaps they don't care. What an absolute mess. These owners are taking the p!ss. Thousands sat in the fans zones singing along with the band and buying drinks. Many of our lot, just don't care do they.

We happy clap on, half of our "fans" are social media wannabes.

I walked out at 0-2.

I looked around me.

Half of the people on their phones.

Most of the rest just standing around talking to their mates.

I just didn’t want to be there.

You ain’t going to get protests with this lot.

I actually fear for many of these if they go to Fratton next season.

I’ve not attended a home game since Boxing Day.
That is my protest.
My seat remains empty.
If I can sell my Season Ticket on the exchange, good.
If not the seat remains empty.
There will have to be a decent manager in charge for the start of next season for me to renew.
I can watch us get beat every week from the comfort of my sofa.

Look where Luton are in the table tonight.
Dark, dark times at SFC.

I suggested the following on this forum a week ago, no one person could be bothered to say it was either a good idea or tell me to go f7ck myself. Seems like we the fans are becoming as pathetic as the club and the owners.

Okay no more silent muttering and putting up with this sh1t, it’s time the owners understood the fans opinion of the Board and that there is a significant number who simply want SR to sell up and leave our club.
For the Brighton game can we hold up a white piece of A4 paper, with the following words printed in black bold as follows.
Sport Republic
“Odjebi”
meaning (in Serbian)
Sport Republic
“F*ck off”

We left after the 3rd goal, 70 mins.
I just can't stomach anymore of this.

The players have clearly given up.

I asked my my nipper if he really wants to go to the next home match and he's happy to give it a miss.

I'm also a season ticket holder, but I'm not sure I can stomach getting thrashed in the next 5 or 6 home games that we have left. And I agree, I think we could be Luton this time next year. Getting over the hangover from this terrible season won't be easy. And we will have a completely different team next year - a bunch if strangers put together by Sport Republic.

Fans get the club they deserve. Our fans are largely (60%’ish?) middle class, mediocre, passive consumers of premier league football. As such we get passive, mediocre ownership and a passive mediocre team. It’s like the customers (fans) aren’t fussed about our performances and therefore neither is the club (otherwise you’d see a radical reaction to our hopeless season). If the fans stormed the barricades the owners might sit up and take notice but the apathetic nature of our fans means that the club don’t have to. They get away with mediocrity. No one is held to account.

We get the club we deserve.

Spot on. The owners know the fans will put up with it, so it carries on.

And the fans who continue to allow this to carry on, don't seem to understand why it's carrying on!!!

Yes spot on. I didn’t go to the last two games. It totally depresses me I really get upset about us getting anilhated every week. The players don’t care nor are good enough we haven’t had a good striker for years and no one seems bothered . Many other teams fans would have protested but we don’t we’re too timid down here we don’t like to make a fuss. I’m too old to get involved in protests but I did protest in the day against Branfoot, but the youngsters don’t give a Shyte they haven’t got it in them.

I’ve been a season ticket holder for more than 50 years and I don’t care if people don’t like me not going. I shall be watching saints in the championship every game next season and most aways and I’m looking forward to it. F@ck the premier league and all it stands for, its outgrown us. You can’t compete in it if you just want to exist. You have to buy good players and compete. If the premier league has become too big for us so be it. At least the feel good factor will hopefully be back next year, we need a total rebuild first though.

I chose to watch the rugby today and it was far more entertaining and I really enjoyed it. I couldn’t sell my ticket because nobody wanted it and can you blame them ?

The owners of saints don’t care less about me or the fans so why should I care ?

The Championship (like every other league) is great if you’re doing well and winning games.
Last year an example.

Ask the Luton fans if they’re having a good time stuck at the bottom of the league.
They are looking at back to back relegations.
Premier League to League 1.

We thought that we had the answers, It was the questions we had wrong.

I can’t say I’m done for the season but after last week I don’t think I’ll be in a hurry to get back. I listed my ticket on the exchange for Jurics’ first game in charge and no one took it so I’ve not bothered since.
Maybe when the sun makes a reappearance I might fancy a day out with the football to get in the way.

I think we’ve all been a bit spoilt having been in the top league for most of my life. I know we’ve won Fack all but who has apart from the usual six ? There are fans of many bigger clubs in England who would have loved to of had our standing over the last 50 years. Massive clubs like Sheffield Wednesday and look at Leeds and Forest who spent many years in the championship, all bigger clubs than us. It hasn’t done them any harm .

I said last season it’s only worth being in the premier league if you want to compete, we clearly don’t have the funds so let’s get out of it until we can. We’ve never had any owners that want to take the club anywhere (Liebherr excepted )that’s what frustrates the hell out of me ! our owners don’t want to be like Brighton or Bournemouth they just want to plod along and exist. I guess one day we’ll get lucky.

I’m just glad I saw them win the FA cup and saw them finish runners up in 84 , I feel for those that will probably never see us win anything.

The Championship is full of ex Tier 1 clubs just making up the numbers.
Without decent owners that’s what we’ll be.
Then more and more of the kids will follow Liverpool, Arsenal and the like.

Brentford, Brighton, Fulham, Bournemouth, Forest and Palace seem to be doing ok in The PL.
Why can’t we?

Because we have a team full of Championship players and a manager, like the last one, who is also no good at Premier League level.

Who’s fault is this?
Sport Republic.

Mate we spent a lot longer in the top flight than all those clubs you mentioned and finished top 8 four years running so we have done it , we just need to regroup next season, get new owners in that won’t be easy ffs and press the reset button. I agree sports republic are the problem but we could be lumbered with them .

I've given up my Season Ticket.
WHY, because when I got home from matches my wife would ask me if I enjoyed it & I'd say NO it was Crap.
She said so why do you keep going to which I answered because I've got a season ticket.
Also the expectation of the next game being better than the last game kept me motivated, but the next game was never any better.
That is when I decided enough was enough, stop wasting money on something I don't enjoy watching.
Plus all the aggravation of getting there, getting home & on one occasion getting punched by an opposing supporter outside the ground, I am still & will always be an ardent supporter of the club but my days of wasting time & money are finished.
Just so glad that I haven't been going this season but I applaud those that do.
But I do think that a large contingent of the crowd are just there for social reasons & not for the football.
Football has changed both on the pitch & off the pitch, but not for the better.

Mmm, the social side is pretty much the only reason I still go.

There is little on the pitch or in the stands to get excited about.

The atmosphere at home games is utterly dire. Results obviously not helping there......

"I think we’ve all been a bit spoilt having been in the top league for most of my life. I know we’ve won Fack all but who has apart from the usual six ?"

Just about everybody else. For a club of our size, we are, in terms of trophies won, the most underachieving team in the country. Most clubs with a fanbase of our size have won 4 or 5 major trophies at least. Forest, for example, have won 7, Leicester 5 and even Pompey have won 4. We haven't even won a 2nd tier title ever. Most other teams of our size have won that quite a few times. Leicester have won it 8 times, Norwich 5 and even Reading have won it twice.

As for "the usual six", they are constantly changing. Liverpool, Man United and Arsenal are the only 3 who are relatively constant, but as you can see from United this season, even they are not always up there. 5 different teams have won the FA Cup in the last 5 years and there is a very good chance this year that a 6th different team will win it. Bournemouth are one of the favourites.

About the only thing we have going for us is the unfailing loyalty of our fans, who turn up in spite of it all. You, me and everybody else on here are "our fans". There isn't some special elite group that is superior to everybody else.
