Burnley Game 23:27 - Feb 3 with 844 viewsSaintNick

Seems about 10,000 tickets sold in the home sections so far, I can't see Burnley bring ing more than 1,000 down, so a late surge needed.

As you've said before, Nick, the closure of the Kingsland puts a lot of people off.

When the price of tickets is the same for the whole stadium, people prefer to sit in what are usually the more expensive seats at the side. The completely empty stand facing the majority of the crowd, who'll be packed into the Itchen, also puts a bit of a damper on the atmosphere.

The Itchen is sold out. If they opened the 5 blocks at the centre of the Kingsland, they'd sell out too. A lot of floating fans see FA Cup games as an opportunity to get value for money with a seat near the halfway line. They don't want to be in what are normally the cheap sections behind the goals. The clueless person who decides to keep the Kingsland closed for cup games is reducing the gate by several thousands.

Hence I decided not to go initially as can't have my own seat automatically, so now have to check with mates as to where do they want to sit etc. Just a PITA

Seems to have been a little surge since yesterday with another 1,500 or so tickets sold, so around 11.500-12,000in the home sections now plus the away fans

Burnley will be making changes.
Promotion is far more important than a cup run.

That’s just the way it is.

We should be going full strength.
A semi final day out at Wembley would be a glimmer of sun on storm ridden shitshow of a season.

We thought that we had the answers, It was the questions we had wrong.
