This was a match of Ifs.
If Dickie hadn't made that mistake.
If Bournemouth hadn't hit the post to make it 3-0.
If their goalkeeper hadn't made several impressive saves.
And then the why.
Why are we always so good in the last 15-20 minutes?
Why can't we start matches the way we finish matches?
We are a very good footballing side.
We just lack that ruthless streak and perhaps pace up front.
But we are improving rapidly.
We are fantastic to watch.
As games go by we get better and better as the youngsters learn the art of winning.
Last December we were heading down to Division 1.
Nine months later we're challenging the very best.
If Bournemouth are one of the top sides in this Championship then QPR are definitely top six.
And that's remarkable considering our budget.
Ok we lost although we deserved a draw especially with our brilliant last 10 minutes of play.
Let's not be too down.
Defeat isn't very pleasant.
But we do have a side that is very capable of making the play-offs. | | | |

Too many mistakes first half, back to the performances first half of last season. Couple of poor performances but after the changes the second half was much more like it and we were the better team overall.

Good game but it's so important we play at tempo, was the same last year.
If we're to play a passing incisive game then it needs to be at pace, when we do it and mix it up with occasional direct ball then we're a great attacking force.
The 2nd goal was scored during a period where we'd dropped off the pace, which is going to happen, but we never got our defensive shape sorted.
Great spirit in that team though, very unlucky not to get the draw but need to bounce back, 2 points from 9 isn't disaster but to keep the enthusiasm up we don't want a long winless run either |  | | |

Bournemouth reminded me of the Leeds team under Revie and look how successful they were. We can bemoan as much as we like but we are going to have to stop giving teams a two goal head start or we really will not do anything this season. We can't keep going 2 goals down and expect to pull games out of the fire every time.
Also the team need to learn when to apply the dark arts. Bournemouth realised that the ref was too lenient and took advantage by committing needless niggly little fouls, kicking the ball away and throwing the ball into the crowd. Instead of doing the same, our players reacted and we ended up with 3 yellow cards and Willock should've seen red.
In a nutshell we lost that match due to a combination of basic errors and naivety. |  | | |
