I would be fascinated to learn what Spirit of Gregory got up to.

My top 4 guesses would be:
(1) Undertaker
(2) Tax Inspector
(3) Prison Officer
(4) Accountant - SoG makes much mention about footballer's money.

'I'm 18 with a bullet.Got my finger on the trigger,I'm gonna pull it.." Love,Peace and Fook Chelski! More like 20StoneOfHoop now. Let's face it I'm not getting any thinner. Pass the cake and pies please.

Work for a really small advertising planning and buying agency, focusing on charities. Worked at a charity myself for almost five years, but decided I'd rather get the extra dosh for doing the same thing agency side. Was previously at a mega big agency but I absolutely hated it. Back with some guys I worked with on my grad scheme and I love it here. Small charities and big so lots of different challenges.

You write some hilarious witty posts,Marty Feldman bosh67,so that makes sense.
Any books or publications that you've written in you could mention?

I wrote the original short stories that became the movies Bad Santa and the slightly less hilarious Event Horizon.

Never knowingly right.

bosh,
Serious question: does writing pay? What I mean by that is do you receive a regular income or is it a case of getting a fairly large sum and then getting by until you get published again?
Also, have you always written, or did you have a different career initially?

Haven't seen Bad Santa (sorry) but impressed with Event Horizon - a very powerful storyline.

"Thank you for supporting Queens Park Rangers Steep Staircase"... and I thought I'd signed up for a rollercoaster.

Having had quite severe cerebral palsy from birth, i managed to go to uni and work as a computer programmer and English teacher on the side. So quite proud of that. Also meant i could afford season ticket in those years.

However, 3 years ago my condition worsened. Had to give up work. no help from the government and so now work as a herbalist and pain relief specialist helping people with their symptons.

I've just written The Smudgy Mind Guide - http://www.smudgenet.com/smudgymindguide as a throw back to my teaching days. Any feedback appreciated.

Last game i attended was the promotion home tie against Leeds. That day will live with me forever.

As will all the expressions of joy written on this forum about the play-off final. i was there in spirit but in reality i was screaming my head off in front of the TV.

So i guess i'm semi-retired and will support the Rs until my last breath. Feel blessed that my season ticket years coincided mostly with the Holloway years. We were skint, sinking fast and yet a miracle happened with the like of Gallen, Cookie, Wild Thing, Rowly, Shittu, Furs and Padula

i'm an IFA and mortgage broker trying to avoid drowning under a sea of paperwork.

With the increased regulation i currently wish I’d pursued my dream of being a ballet dancer, throwing small women around for money; but unfortunately I failed the ‘bulge’ test

Event Horizon got panned by the critics when it came out, but I distinctly remember it scaring the absolute bejaysus out of me - surely the main KPI for a horror film?

When I described what I do to my 11yr old girl, she thought about it for a couple of seconds and stated
"So, Basically, you are a human punch bag"

I am a Project Manager in Card Payment hardware and software. Sales people go in and bulls@t the client about stuff that is still "vaporware" and lie about how fast we can deliver a solution and then I go in post sale and get beaten up on behalf of the company at every weekly client meeting because we cannot actually deliver the solution to the time frames promised and they don't accept that bleeding edge payment software is an iterative process.

In the meantime I have written a play for TV, which was supposed to have Martin Freeman as the lead character (because he reminded of my mate who the story was based on) but as it has taken me 5 years to write it and he has now gone Global as Bilbo Baggins and Dr Watson, I guess even if by some miracle someone wanted to turn my script into a production, I guess Martin is not sitting at home kicking his heels waiting for the phone to ring from new and totally inexperienced script writers to work with.

I think all PMs hate their sales department Bosh!

Some of the stuff they promise our corporate business is laughable plus there is no way our systems can manage it. Makes it a nightmare to implement and i'm constantly 'forced' to put manual processes in place to work around what they've promised

I could only dislike them more if they were scummers!

you mean a fluffer?

might want to google it; possibly not at work on their system

my best description is someone that 'warms up' the main cast of adult films prior to them doing scenes.

i'm sure disco might have a few on here that he suspects of following that career path

not round my neck of the woods you don't. leave all those city types and get your arse out to the shires; our need is greater (especially now we can't hunt foxes, nothing else to do and crappy download speeds are very irksome!)

I work for a record company. Amongst many titles I work on, if any of you (or anyone you know) has bought any of the recent "NOW That's What I Call...." albums, I did the production (as in sorting out the manufacturing, printing etc).

Yep Local Gov for me, where else can you get 31 days leave, flexi time, work life balance, working from home and a reasonable pension not to mention taking a career break for a year.

16 years service, once in no one ever leaves.
