Racial abuse yet again, and all we hear are words. It has to end today on 12:41 - Jul 12 by londonlisa2001 | If you don’t mind me saying Keith, while your post about it ending today is admirable, posts on here that have happened in the short few hours after the match sum up one of the problems with this. Five young men stepped up and had the balls to take a penalty in that atmosphere last night. They did so knowing what would happen if they missed. Three of them did so in the knowledge that they would also be subjected to horrific racial abuse if they missed. And sure enough, that’s what has happened. In the short time since, a poster on here has tried to equate the almost unbelievably sickening abuse they have received to posts on here that said they wanted England to lose, and another poster has compared the abuse to that received by Beckham in the past. Also stating that there would be a ‘couple of children and attention seekers using racist language in order to cause some shock factor’. Both posters are part of the problem, as they are denying the reality of the problem and / or the scale of the problem. I said before the match that I was fairly ambivalent. As it happens, watching the match I wanted England to win it. I was devastated when Rashford missed as I knew what would happen. Made worse when Sancho and Baka missed. If people here can’t genuinely see the difference between someone sending people a tweet (although God knows why so called adults do that) saying ‘your penalty was crap’ and sending a tweet with a line of offensive pictures, or using hate language then the problem we have will never ever get better. Similarly when the Home Secretary now says it’s awful while she previously said she could understand and support why so called ‘fans’ booed the team taking the knee. And the Prime Minister, with a history of his own racist language didn’t contradict her, and now joins in the anti racist wailing in his usual hypocritical manner. We live in a country populated with a significant percentage of utter scum. Yes, the social media companies should do something about it, but that these attitudes exist in 2021 is horrifying. And false equivalence, repeated so frequently on here, not only on race, but on sexism, homophobia and so on is a deliberate attempt to weaken the impact of genuine issues. Unless it is rooted out, it will continue to create an atmosphere where racism, sexism and homophobia will continue to flourish. |
To add to your post, I check out occasionally both left and right leaning media outlets and there is a tendancy to stir up issues in both sides of the media and on both sides of the political system. There is a culture these days on both sides to create a narrative rather than to persue policies.

By omission it also expects those people in danger to be left to drown. She and her tory cronies can bleat all they like on twitter it's their actions that define them. |
You haven't commented on the fact that the example of racism on Twitter you posted up on here was actually posted by a Somalian using a British bloke's identity. Why? Instead you just move the goalposts to Priti Patel. Priti Patel did nothing wrong, she is obviously not racist. To pretend she is is absurd. We do not have to clap people who kneel for Communists. We do have the right to boo people who kneel for Communists. Has everyone forgot the BLM riots in London last year where our police officers were attcked, dozens of injuries? I can promise you the majority of the country hasn't. The young, privileged, millionaire footballers who kneel for that movement must be extremely dense if they did not expect the reaction that they got. We will not be bullied. Your accusations of racism have become meaningless. Promote communism and expect a reaction. [Post edited 13 Jul 2021 12:36]

Any team who do not bend the knee in this country is damned and open to cross examination on their race viewpoint. Let's be honest, any footballer who does not gets marginalised. It's why, like sheep they do it and Im talking mainly about white players wo WANT to be seen to be supporting their black colleagues when many (especially of Spanish,Italian ,Balkan origins ) will be inherently racist but we cannot says this. Hungary is most vehemently against any homophobic counter measures as is Turkey but are these lands hammered? Are they shyte. It IS a token gesture at least by many white players. We need more than gestures for sure starting with getting cretins educated. Every so often colonial master past pops up,like the Roman centurion outfits and the pitiful English St George outfit complete with plastic sword and shield. God help us from all this drivel a drivel is what it is. When crowds come back, kneeling will be the biggest issue around, trust me. Many fans out there cant wait to boo it all.

That’s the annoying thing about it all which blows the cover off the whole charade. Someone doing the usual attention seeking race based abuse on Twitter, it was so obvious it was literally smacking people in the face.. the usual lot jump up and down however and point to it being a symbol of “how racist the country is”, whilst anyone taking a considered approach to the incident being told “you are part of the problem”. Fast forward 24 hours later and the majority of it is blown open as a pretty transparent ‘hoax’ from what appears to be people not even from England, but Somalia who stole someone’s name and photo in order to agitate and attention seek... and we hear crickets chirping. It’s like they are annoyed that it wasn’t an English guy to play into the narrative. While of course, some bloke now has thousands of people falsely accuse him of horrific racism and tracking down where he works and where he lives after yet another trial by social media. Many of which will not be aware that these screenshots indeed do not appear to be him at all. The sooner social media is binned the better, the most ugly thing to happen to society in a long while. It won’t unfortunately, it’s wishful thinking. People are far too entrenched on sharing every detail of their lives as if they are on some imaginary stage. Far too much money and ego in the whole system.

A significant proportion of the population who have access to social media include ex criminals the mentally ill, fascists, racists, fraudsters, illegal immigrants, alcoholics, drug abusers, paedophiles, thugs, agitators, troubled teenagers and others. Cabango our wonderful young beast of a centre back told us he expected some abuse after a recent game. He got some off a single Mexican teenager after squaring off. It is simply not credible to expect that there will be not bad stuff on the social media. Young Ben did not waste his time on it. There are bad people in the world many of them with issues. I saw a drunk saying some unpleasant things the other day probably illegal. That is what they do. The world is not perfect. [Post edited 13 Jul 2021 14:42]

The deposit has to be made from a valid bank card. Perhaps then the likes of porn.star.69@hotmail.com will think twice about making racist comments. |

People change IP addresses or use internet cafes to set up new accounts, or they use vpn's. People who worry about privacy, I can understand it but tell me, do you do online shopping? How many companies have your bank details? Privacy is often a shield for the ignorant to hide behind. These people don't want to have their right to abuse taken away. Often they don't seem to grasp that when you have the internet at home, a smart phone, when you use your bank or credit card, it all undermines your privacy. The government, the police, they can track you everywhere, get in your car and cameras can follow you. And even if you ignore all that, many and maybe the vast majority on social media post all about their lives to the kind of detail I really don't need to know and are willingly throwing their privacy away. The exceptions to that are the people who want to hide behind an anonymous account so they can post vile hate speech, so they can abuse and insult, can say things they'd be too scared to say to anyones faces. They are nothing but cowards.

Utter hypocrisy abounds...and people who happen to have white skin are queuing up to create a world where their children will be held to a higher standard than those of different coloured skins. It is madness. Skin colour should be irrelevant. The people who see skin colour as irrelevant are now labelled racists by those wishing to build this horrific world.

I think he is referring to people who can be unstable and people who can say things that don’t represent the wider population. Such as those with schizophrenia and such like. I’ve witnessed it first hand and the sort of stuff someone with that illness can say is quite shocking, especially if you didn’t know they had it (such as the barrier of being online). He’s not saying they are like criminals. It was a discussion about comments online not being representative of the situation, because those that make such horrendous comments aren’t always the full ticket as it were or indeed have a propensity to make trouble.

I have given a list of sections of society that could write unacceptable things on social platforms. I have not bracketed them together at all. It is you that has done that. For example 'troubled teenagers' are not bracketed with 'paedophiles'. Society is a broad church. Large sections of the populous have various issues. I do not get too concerned about individual postings. Its part of life. People who say this like "this must stop" are deluded. You cannot legislate for everything. Correct. Again it’s like reading every toilet wall and being offended by it and demanding it stop. People will always say crazy things online because EVERYONE is online, that means all sorts of people. I’m sure many think of the people online as the exclusive club for middle and working class who get home from work and share their views online. That bloke you see shouting at himself walking down the road and pretending to shoot pigeons with a stick also may have a computer... then you get offended by what he says and judge the country as a whole from his comments. It’s exhausting watching the cycle of outrage every time someone says something disgusting online. As if anyone was really expecting anything different. The sooner people realise that online is not reality the better, however with people insisting on living their lives through social media - the lines have become blurred and some do find it difficult to make the distinction.

And I have lost count of the posts using mental illness as a pejorative. example,"have you taken your meds". As Offensive as it gets,as is "are you mentally ill". It was foul language, but not racist. I saw a reporter stating that it said "F*$£!%&£ Sh*$ Bas%*!£$". If Beckham had a mural it too would have been graffiti'd when he made the high profile mistake. Unpleasant? Yes Unnecessary? Yes Scummy? Yes Racist? No Why do you think all these 'protestors' are kneeling? BLM started something that was intentionally divisive and professional football in this country went along with it. There is no sign of it stopping....so we will become further divided. Here is a Soviet propaganda poster from 1919, it is iconic.... ...it symbolises that the path to victory for the Left lies in dividing the general populace. The leaders of BLM, in their words, are "trained Marxists".
