January has been trouble for many Swansea managers. Potter Cooper Martin were all upset about this window and Duff was sacked.
They all broke contracts (disputed) and left the following June. Williams has stated e he expects between one and three new signings. A back up centre back or two is needed depending on Darling and Cabango agreeing new deals.
Luke Williams gave a very assured press conference today. Amongst the obligatory love ins for Grimes and Cullen he a made some good noises on the January transfer window.
This window has seen the last three managers go into a sulk and start questioning what they are doing in this city.
Potter called off sick after not getting £7m Ryan Woods. Cooper was openly dismissive of Arriola and Morris. Martin was furious after the January non event and the non completion of the WBA winger.
Williams says he is involved and "does not want to be the type of manager who throws his toys out of the pram" if things do not go entirely to plan".
It should be noted the recruitment knows he will not select player he does not rate. (Njoe an On, Kuharevych Abbey and to s lesser extent Pederson).
I have just done my tax and to help keep stress low I have been vigorous to the nearest penny with my return.
Clive it appears missed a reported £145k of his earnings in this report £65k elsewhere. He has acted quickly to apologize and declare he will no longer do this outside work.
Ken Gude came here with a seemingly open brief of changing " club culture". Some of the less cerebral posters suggested he was here to lower his golf handicap.
No mention of Mr Gude recently. Was he working on the sale ? Could it be his job is now done?
Changing club culture. Well that seems to have occured to be fair.

They will come second in their group haven beaten Scotland. The group is France Scotland Wales Lichtenstein.
Wales lost 2-1 to France and gave them a tough game. There have been some tonkngs in the past varying from 8-0 to 4-0 etc so this was a good effort.
Swansea players in this group would have been Margetson who was injured. Iwan Morgan did not make the squad so must no be impressing at Brentford.
The French manager said this
Jean-Luc Vannuchi: "We started on the flat and we're attacking the mountain, we got over one today that wasn't easy, a very good Wales team that gave us a hard time. They were better in the first half, we were much better in the second and that's the main thing, because we had to win. That's not enough to qualify, we'll need a result against Scotland. A draw is enough but we're not going to play for it, we'll have to play a big game. We were tossed around in the first half, they logically opened the scoring but we were lucky to come back quickly. Above all, we were much more impenetrable in the second half, we decided to let them have the ball and be solid and united. We managed to get ahead of them and we even had chances to widen the gap but we didn't do it and in the end, there was a dangerous set piece in stoppage time. It was a close call, I said it wouldn't be an easy first round. Now we need one last positive result to finish the job"
Swansea players in the group are Margetson Jacob Cook and Thomas Woodward who missed out.iestym Jones possibly..
Jerry Yates has scored 50 goals over three seasons and three this season more than any Swansea striker including Saturday's arcrobatic finish.
He is not a target man and like Bafatimi Gomis may not have been played optimally by Williams and Duff.
He is Swansea s most elite striker. This is what the Derby boss stated. ( Taken from FLW)
""Yates has shown over the last couple of weeks that he really is a talented player, and he's capable of scoring goals at this level. He just needs adequate support.
"I think when he played alongside Dajaune Brown at Coventry, it gave him the space to be able to express himself, and although Brown didn't really have a great game himself, what he did do was occupy the centre-half, so Yates could benefit from that. It definitely helped Yates in that respect."
Play him properly alongside Vipotnik and he will score plenty.
