Played a few times, not many over the years
Last time we beat them 8-0 over 2 legs in League Cup 1979, I attended both games

Same here I went to all 3 games, Wrexham now though are everything that is wrong with football, they have spent most of their existence in the lower leagues in front of small crowds for good reason, ie that it is a small town with not that much of a catchment area around the town either.
Add to that, that most of them follow Liverpool, Everton or United.
Now they are pawns in a rich mans plaything, at some stage it will all go wrong |  |

Regardless of their money, i’d much rather a Wrexham putting smiles on local faces than a soulless Salford with their champagne socialist Neville.

Now, they're a different beast - yes, built with dubious money but what side isn't these days - that's football today unfortunately. I'd like to see a cap on spending and assets to make all competition fair but as long as greed and Mammon rule the real world, that's never going to happen. | |
