Just watched an awful game between Gainsborough and Nuneaton but Paul Connor was playing for gainsborough. Now i can remember getting his name on the back of my shirt as a lad but boy was it terrible. Not much movement didnt look like scoring and even in warm ups he could hit the target.....he def wasnt that bad back in the day with rochdale was he!

that first season, Connor was unplayable and looked set to be our best player in probably our entire lifetime. After that injury, he seemed to doubt his game, and he was never the same player again.

From what I've heard Connor is just playing part time at Gainsborough while he explores other avenues away from football. Judging by their terrible performance (albeit a win) at Halifax last week I'd say that's probably for the best.

Doesn't Barnes homer play for Nuneaton
Paul Conner was awesome - he was origionally on loan off stoke and there was a fair bit of upset from the fans when we signed him for £150k
He - along with Platty were awesome until he got injured, after that he was never the same player. He scored after coming back in the 2 -1 win at Plymouth first day of the season - can remember the year exactly, but at the back end of the near play off season - he looked the best striker we have had - and yes that includes Holty and Lambert.
Sadly he was never the same and thats about it.
