I wouldn't be a member of the Royal Family for all the tea in China, so if he gets the chance to fu ck-off to Canada or something and lead a slightly more "normal" life then good luck to him. Not like he's heir to the throne or anything. Fantastic to see people who presumably have never met either of them commenting on their intelligence, motives and integrity. No wonder they want out of it.

Yeah must be awful for them being a royal and all that hard slog of going all around the world 1st class on the tax payer opening new hospital wings whilst lecturing the rest of us on climate change Maybe they should of thought about a “normal “ life before having the big wedding again on the tax payer I don’t know how lucky I am working 40 hours a week in the rat race and paying a mortgage That poor couple my heart goes out to them

Sarah Ferguson got a load of stick off the press down the years perhaps the “ right press” had an agenda about gingers

Exactly. Let’s face it,there was always going to be problems once he married her. Harry comes across as a bit of a snowfake who is pushed around by his wife. Her maj was certainly less than pleased with his choice of a wife. Meanwhile, does this mean there is a vacancy for a tax funded royal sponger/scrounged?If so, where do I apply? So, without ever being given an alternative, in exchange for luxury, you have to spend your life in the public spotlight, surrounded by security, following other's expectations, hammered if you fail to live up to them, being judged by the public who've never even met you, never mind known you. Yeah, sounds fantastic. I'd take a holiday in Yarmouth with my family over a weeks skiing in Klosters being followed by the press. And a night down the pub with my mates where I can be an idiot and have fun, over a state dinner where I have to put on a performance and act the part. I get to live my life the way I want to live it and I can walk down the street without a load of paparazzi bothering me, and talentless cun ts writing cun tish articles about me and my family in the press. It might be a gilded cage, but they're still prisoners to all that bollo cks, so fair play for him deciding he wants something different. The fact they have better bed linen and a nicer house doesn't make the huge downsides any more attractive to me. As for your 40 hour week - I wouldn't be stunned if they do similar if not more when it comes to official duties and charity work. He's also done a stint in the Army. I wasn't privy to their wedding planning conversations - I don't know whether that was what they ideally wanted or something the Royal family expected of them, so I can't comment either way. Not sure them having a hush-hush do at Islington Town Hall with £500 behind the bar and a bit of a spread in the pub would have gone down to well with sections of the press, though, and nor would a more normal ceremony in the States (imagine how that would have gone down). Look at all the fuss that was made when they didn't invite the whole world to gawp at their newly born, first child. [Post edited 9 Jan 2020 11:29]

Traditional init? Having binge watched The Crown on Sh*tSticks, I'm gained a wider understanding of them. I'm coming around to liking them and have full respect for The Queen. The hangers-on though really should be cut off from the public purse.

Things Donald Trump's on record doing: Screwing over contractors/suppliers Defrauding students at "Trump University" Embezzling money from his own Charitable foundations Lying over 14,000 times in public since becoming President 20+ allegations against him of sexual assault all the way up to rape Bragging about sexually assaulting women Shagging porn stars whilst his wife was at home with their new born child Played golf 250+ times at one of his clubs since being in power, with hundreds of millions of tax payer dollars spent on travel and security (to his own personal benefit) to facilitate those golf trips Withholding aid and political support for Ukraine until they announced an investigation into an electoral rival. And then, depending on your political views, he's said and done enough to suggest that he's a racist, sexist, entitled, mentally-deficient child. If you want to talk about narcissism, I wouldn't have thought there were many better places to start than Trump. As for Johnson, having watched him on TV, listened to him on the radio, and read about him in the press, he strikes me as unprincipled and an entitled chancer. And that's politics aside, because instinctively, he's probably pretty socially liberal and I don't think he'd ideologically driven, so I dislike him, mainly on account of his public displays/utterances, not because of something written by a hostile columnist. Oh, and he was a coward when it came to the leadership election and also the GE, so he loses even more respect for that. [Post edited 9 Jan 2020 11:54]
