It's 25%, not 30%.

And whatever Brentford get, knock off £1m before applying the %

And it's not less tax either. It'll be , say £12m plus Vat,

And we'll then invoice Brentford for 25% of the profit plus Vat.

Other than that though, you're spot on!!

Good job I was only playing

You might need to repeat that when/if he gets sold!

If true then what a superb bit of business for us. About£3m in the Dale pot.
Record transfer reciepts - all from a sell-on clause!!
Happy days!!

Nice little payday for Hilly too, if the rumour of him getting a percentage of player profits is true. And for the record, i don't begrudge him a penny.

It also says "... of any transfer fee", which isn't true.

True, its not any transfer fee, just the Scott Hogan one.

But it isn't. It's a percentage of the Scott Hogan transfer fee minus whatever Brentford paid us for him (between £750k and £1m depending who you ask).

Even so, that's still 3,450,000 if the 30% and 12.5 million are correct!

Yes, but that isn't the point I'm making. I'm pointing out that the article incorrectly states that we get 30% of the transfer fee, when we don't.

Darmesh on SSN just said that West Ham are due to make a third offer for Hogan and it is believed that former club Rochdale have a sizeable sell on fee of up to 30%. Whether it is anywhere between 20-30% it will be a sizeable fee that can be used to secure the medium term future of the club.

It's 25% then Hilly gets his cut of that which is 5% . Still sees us netting just short of £3m even if the fee is "only" £12.5m. Hogan went for £750k.
