Amazing how Carlos seems to have a similar taste in players to our DOF . Could just be rumour of course but there are rumblings that the Ayew deal is close to completion .
If he signed where does Carlos play him ? I'd also like to know how he fits Bony,Ayew,Tammy and Sanches into the team or who gets left out .
IMO if we signed Ayew it wouldn't be so bad as long as it's a loan deal.

Totally different players fella, it's not that scotty is 5 times the player just that he suits being a big fish in a small pond , one has touch and technique and the other was a flat track bully and runner that is made for the big team in Scotland, we all knew scotty would tear them a new one up there, i bet Routs would score plenty too in his pomp.
I thought Scotty was awesome for us, he should have stayed and been incredible under Laudrup but at the top level Routs has played a higher standard for longer and there is a reason for that, Sinclair while awesome couldn't trap a bag of cement .

Although he’s had a few spells with other teams in the prem he only played 5 times for spurs, twice for villa and a handful of times for Pompey on loan. Well I thought it a valid point that there may be something in the reason for Ayew returning to us other than just his ability, for example an outstanding payment or early return on a loan etc. Jasper T cleared that up last night by digging in to the company house files .
The financial experts seem at odds on this topic so a layman will certainly be . Though I think Jasper T clarified it for me .

Andre Ayew, scored 12 goals for us in 35 games. If Carlos can give him the same confidence boast he has given his brother and other Swans players, plus the 2 Ayews playing together, it could turn out to be a good signing.
The only problems is how injury free or not he is at the moment. The best thing is that age wise he's at his prime only just turned 28. A proven goal scorer, with another 12 goals for West Ham in 50 games, he could definitely grab us some extra goals.
The Bony and Sanches signings I thought were going to be really good but didn't start off that well. So I can only say with Andre that he has good potential. |  |

Back to Ayew, he has been terrible this season, and most of late season too, that is FACT. West Ham have been really poor but they have been a far better side with Ayew on the bench, and their fans were incensed he wasn't sold earlier for far less money so they could bring in actual quality. That says it all really.
In terms of value for money, we paid £20m and a likely £100k a week to sign a 28-year old with no chance for "re-sale value". Just as with Bony, it's really poor business and will be on the pitch, as well. This is money wasted again, but I really hope we stay up somehow in spite of it. A quick look at Ayew's stats this season shows how dire he's truly been:
