The Jenkins got us here lovers on 11:32 - Jan 2 by Landore_Jack | He owns 5% of the club. Who will want to buy his shares? |
There would be plenty of buyers if the yanks can get out of their agreement / waiver their option to purchase. The price has dropped considerably with our probable relegation, so if the yanks don't want them I'm sure the Trust would. [Post edited 2 Jan 2017 11:58]

The Jenkins got us here lovers on 11:55 - Jan 2 by dobjack2 | Sometime towards the end of the Laudrup era it appears that Jenkins took total control of recruitment and it has gone down the pan ever since. Sometime during 2014 it would appear that selling the shares for as much as possible came onto the agenda of the shareholders and everything else appears to have become a poor second to that. |
When he appointed himself as DOF our transfers / football was destroyed. Arrogance to believe because he appointed decent managers he had experience enough to be DOF. Chairman, effective CEO and DOF - wrong in so many ways but the Trust did nothing.

The Jenkins got us here lovers on 13:04 - Jan 2 with 1442 views | Loyal | Jenkins didn't get us here, a collective board, supporters groups, single minded fans and people prepared to risk everything ( mostly ignored ) got us here. Jenkins took the pole position with Martin Morgan constantly in his ear from the sidelines. Let's also not forget Morgan didn't go public until it was obvious we were really on the up, his mrs wouldn't allow it fearing a backlash until the smell of money was in her nasal passages. Morgan in fact has got away with a lot. Jenkins is everyone's fall guy for seven million quid. Not bad for a failed roofer. One man hasn't done this like one person doesn't make a team. I could not have imagined this story on a Roy of The Rovers comic. I will never run down Mr Jenkins and Co because of the pleasures we have been treated to. I don't grudge people who are ready to cash out on their investments, good luck I say. There is lot of envoy and jealousy floating around. Get behind the Yanks, Mr Jenkins, the new manager and the team and cut the whining out.

Sadly its fans like you that allow the board to get away with whatever they want. The board know they can sell the club, the trust and the fans down the river, knowing people like you will be happy clapping to drown out the fans that actually give a shit. [Post edited 2 Jan 2017 14:35]

I don't begrudge them selling but they have taken the pizz in the way that they did it and taken a lot of people for mugs. It's not envy or jealousy on my part but greed on theirs that I object to. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

No he and his old man Gordon (really lovely man) sat next to me and my old man in the Double Decker from at least 1977 onwards (Father and Son Season Tickets as they were called then). Gordon also organised the buses for our regular away trips with Dave & Anne from Brynmill. The Good Old Days those 👠STID. Together Stronger. 💪💪💪

There is no point in worrying over things that we have no control over. I just worry about money to buy my tickets and eleven footballers to produce half decent stuff. If Jenkins and Co have deceived anybody, let the people it concerns deal with it. [Post edited 2 Jan 2017 14:56]

Then sort it out then...... Get legal action and or organized protests then, not some half hearted chant when we are losing three nil at home. Would these chants occur if we were situated at mid table.

In my opinion the January window is the point of no return. February will be the month the Trust have to act one way or the other.

I think that this a crucial window for Jenkins And his relationship with the majority owners. If he told them the squad was in good shape they will not be pleased with him. If he wanted someone other than sideshow bob and they went for bob then he will have clawed back a little of his position. This window I see as make or break for him. If it all goes well he will be back in favour with the owners. The trust have openly voiced their concerns about transfers but he will be in a stronger position with the majority owners. Trust have no option but to back off or they risk totally alienating themselves unless they know the owners are going to replace him anyway. If he fecks up majority owners will not be happy; trust can then dive in with Jenkins in a weak position. Decent chance the majority owners will want a real director of football. ( Landon Donovan does not count as one in my view) The problem for us as I see it is that things probably have to go totally belly up before we can be sure to be rid of him as de facto director of football.

The Jenkins got us here lovers on 18:08 - Jan 2 with 1013 views | rock1n | Is it not reasonable to both be thankful and also accept things have gone wrong in recent times in equal measure? I'm disappointed by the turn of the events but I'll be forever grateful to the board that saved the club and one of the leading lights was Huw Jenkins. It's the Martinez syndrome all over again. We really do live up to the black and white name. [Post edited 2 Jan 2017 18:09]

The Jenkins got us here lovers on 11:30 - Jan 2 by Joe_bradshaw | Jenkins got us here by appointing and trusting managers like Martinez, Rodgers and Laudrup to establish then continue a style of playing football. Those managers brought in players who were not necessarily heralded elsewhere but suited our style. They were not big money signings, they were pieces of a jigsaw that made up a very attractive picture. Many of those players struggled when they left us because they didn't suit their new team's style as well as ours. When Laudrup lost some of his motivation as he tends to after a while, Jenkins decided to install Monk and dismantle the system that had served us so well. Monk didn't have the vision of his predecessors or the contacts in the game. Jenkins thought he and a couple of scouts could oversee player acquisition. They couldn't and as everything quietly unraveled the shareholders decided to cash in as quickly as possible. They got decent money for Ash and Ayew which also got high earners off the books so the club looked financially more attractive. Cheap and poor replacements were brought in and where money was spent it was wasted as has been the case since Laudrup and his mate left. Jenkins succeeded by trusting others then failed by trusting himself. |
and that is pretty much all that needs to be said on the subject. and now he has to go.
