During long spells we stopped Swansea from playing. It was an important game for us - for players who haven't played many minutes and to see where they are. Not sure what game Roberto was watching - 1 save Tremmel made as far as I can remember. Montero looks unbelievable - love to see him start on Saturday although not sure whether Dyer or Routs would be dropped - great problem to have. Team played very well - have to say that I think Jazz has improved beyond recognition - played really well in my opinion. yes Everton made 7 changes but we, I think, made 5. Great result and what a bonus to be able to watch the League Cup live.

Great game, and all our players played some cracking football. In fairness it was a change to play against a team that wanted the ball and didn't come out determined to disrupt, foul and constantly fall over when one of our players were in their vicinity. A good ref made a nice change, and is Marvin going to become our super sub? I did laugh tonight, guy next to me said " Come on Marvin do something marvel (goal scored) ous" He never finished the sentence and the ball was in the net.
The Official Swansea City v Everton Match Thread. on 23:07 - Sep 23 with 1174 views | max936 | Great performance, good goals, especially Emnes great strike on almost his first touch, but...................... the Referee yet again ffs books our players yet let Everton get away with murder they should have had at least another 3 to the 1 they had, the foul on Siggy was a nailed on yellow, Macarthur came on and fouled Dyer in his first action of the game, yet just got a telling off, pissed me right off especially after Saturday. We're collecting yellow cards like stamps at the moment, Shelv's is on 4 and I think Fernandez is on 2 one Saturday and another tonite which was harsh imo he clearly had the ball first, but he give himself away with the lunge tackle I expect. Still, even of they had a good start to the season, we still would have beaten them as we were flying away with it.

But Shelve's was extremely lucky to finish the game on just the one yellow Max. Grabbing Osmans shirt and landing him on his back could have won him another. A few of our team were giving him a blasting for that, he needs to calm himself down from these silly mistakes when his enthusiasm takes over and a red mist takes over. Two minutes to go, he could have been off.
The Official Swansea City v Everton Match Thread. on 23:38 - Sep 23 with 1075 views | AnotherJohn | I'm 'over the moon' with the result and some great attacking moments, but in truth the game was closer than the score suggests. I know everybody will accentuate the positives and that is fair enough, but I wonder what would have happened if Everton had taken one of the several chances we gifted them by passing back to our own half from attacking positions and then losing possession. Yes, keeping the ball with our possession game is important, but I hope Monk works on getting the ball forward faster from good positions, as opposed to continually recycling it to the back four and then passing to an opponent in dangerous territory. My nerves were settled when Ki came on, I thought we then started to thread through telling passes from deep, and an Everton side who had been pushing us all the way looked well beaten. Funny how opinions differ. I watch Carrol carefully and although he started ok, he was never the same after the big hit on him near the start. He covered some ground, but didn't impose himself and was sloppy in possession. Looks too weak still at the moment and miles away from JJS/Ki. But, we all know he's work in progress and has shown enough to deserve some chances. He's a long way from an automatic starting spot though (imo of course). Jazz, hmmm. Frustrating. He does so much well and then makes the wrong decision. There were times tonight when he needlessly conceded possession when Angel wouldn't. And also chances to attack the space behind the fullback that he didn't exploit (when Angel probably would). He's a bit of a steady Eddie, sound enough in defence but lacks something in possession. So I guess I agree with you. Angel is clearly superior, although we can rely on Jazz to fill in if needed occasionally.

He was, but my point is, that the Everton players got away with far more without caution's, Moss was the same Saturday.
