Silkmen Old Boys Monday, 23rd Aug 2010 10:07 by TheSilkWeb TheSilkWeb.com takes a look at how some of our old players got on over the weekend. Lets start with young striker Nicky Blackman. He scored his first goal of the season for Motherwell against Kilmarnock. Blackman is on loan to the Scottish Premier side from Blackburn Rovers and has featured in Motherwell's Europa League games. The striker hit home just before half time yesterday with a close range effort. Jon Parkin is expected to be back at the Moss Rose on Wednesday night as he sat on the bench for Preston North End for the full 90 minutes in their 1-0 win at home to Portsmouth. Danny Whitaker (below) hit a hat-trick for Chesterfield and he makes a return to the Moss Rose this weekend which ain't good news. Kristian Dennis's Woodley didn't get off to a good start to their season as they were thrashed 6-0 at Chroley. Rickie Lambert got on the scoresheet again scoring the winner for Southampton. Lee Bell helped Crewe Alex to a 7-0 thumping of Barnet at Gresty road. Andy Smart scored for Hyde United but couldn't stop the Tigers from going down 5-1 at home to Alfreton.
