It's been a long hard twelve months since last Christmas where we looked forward to a Boxing Day clash of the top two as we travelled to Brentford. Little did we know then that the two sides would meet in the play offs - Brentford just missing auto promotion on the last day whilst we only managed to sneak in on the last day. We won that play off battle and as we sit in a play off position again, Brentford prop up the league. 12 months really is a long time in football.
Since last Christmas we have spent over £1 million on transfers - never done before in the clubs history in a 12 month period - and I guess we have to say we have picked up two trophies alongside being a couple of decent penalties away from the Championship.
Once again it has been a busy year on the site and it has been made what it is by the people that visit and contribute to it on a frequent, or infrequent basis.
Look out next week for the traditional review of the year mixed in with the previews, reports, views and ratings of another busy Christmas schedule.
But in the meantime, I would like to wish everybody reading this a Very Merry Christmas and fingers crossed that Santa brings you all that you have asked for! (including three points on Tuesday!)
And if you are bored, and with the great tradition of the BBC in mind, take a look at the JackArmy.net Xmas message of 2003 here
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE
