Aye, that's him. Joined Stockport simply to maintain match fitness towards the end of last season. Not sure who the trialist keeper is....

Friendly thread on 20:40 - Jul 9 with 10943 views | IOMDale | If I had to guess at the Thomson, it might be Robbie Thomson, a young 'keeper previously at Celtic. Fitzo, if you read this thread, know if it may be him?

This bit stood out on the thread. Style of play "Jav reminds me of Earl Barrett in many ways — he's a rubber man who bounces all over the place with great athleticism. He's played for England under 19s this year and, like the rest of the lads, he will benefit immensely from playing alongside senior players" said Jim Cassell in the Official Manchester City annual 2008. Jim Cassell said that, because that was his job as Manager of the Manchester City Academy. Not Steve Eyre, he was explaining to his team not to talk to strangers and put their hands up if they needed potty.

Friendly thread on 22:09 - Jul 9 with 9944 views | Brierls | Thought Rose and Hogan were standout players for Dale, particularly in the first half. Hery and Bunney both busy. The centre half pairing of Lancashire and Eastham needs time, but that should come with plenty of games to go at in pre-season. Both looked strong enough when attacking the ball, but susceptible to the ball over the top. A decent workout. I'm looking forward to more of a test against Halifax. I suspect Cavanagh will stay as captain, but Rose would be my skipper. Doesn't stop talking all game, offering encouragement and advice to everyone. [Post edited 1 Jan 1970 1:00]
