Match Report from Gills fans on 09:46 - Mar 20 with 1937 views | judd | The brilliant cross that led to their goal was a pretty basic affair, to be honest, the guy given all the time in the world by SCS not closing him down, leaving their forward to use both hands to climb up on Edwards' shoulders and nod in from 6 yards.

Poor defending all round, I thought (didn't someone lose it in midfield or miss a tackle, as well), but it was also their best move of the night by some distance; the only time they looked like league-leaders. A stranger, or neutral (like me!!!!) would have been hard-pressed to say which team were top of the league.

I would argue that neither team looked like "top of the league". You certainly couldn't tell which team was further up the league. The sending off offence was the most idiotic I think I have ever witnessed. How could he hope to get away with it?

Haven't seen the incident myself, but according to Martin Allen : “I’ve spoken to Andrew — you couldn’t get a mre honest and decent bloke than him and he said he didn’t touch him. I haven’t seen it so I can’t really comment but he’s adamant that he didn’t do anything and the guy has gone down holding his face. We will keep that private and internal and I would never criticise their player and if there is something to be said or done with Andrew then that will remain private with me, Andrew and obviously the Chairman.” From http://www.gillsconnect.com/s/Gills_News_Desk/Entries/2013/3/20_MAD_DOG__PLAYERS

It was a miss timed header which led to them getting the ball and playing it out wide - not sure if it was McIntyre or Cansdell Sheriff? The only real defensive mistake of the night and it cost us.

Well if you go running at an opposing player, plant your front foot and throw your head forward in a "Glasgow kiss" stylee you get what you deserve. For me Donnelly got away with a foul where he could have been even red carded rather than just booked due to their lad steaming in and what, to me, looked like a full on head butt and the ref then having to manage other things going on!
