Faurlin on 17:20 - Jan 10 by Hunterhoop | Yep. Exactly the same. Absolute madness to let him go. If we let Faurlin go Redknapp can f*ck right off. Honestly, I think this would be the worst bit of business QPR will have ever done in their history. Ale is still young, has proven he can perform superbly in the Prem, gives his all and cares for the club. The only issue, as Clive points out, is he struggles to maintain performance levels for 4 or 5 games on the trott. But then he is coming back from a horrific injury and he did so way ahead of scedule. A tiny investment in his rehab and managing him properly and we could have the lynchpin of our team for the next decade. Nah, let him go and sign some Spurs reserve on load. F*CKING GREAT LONG TERM PLANNING THIS, RANGERS! Christ, I want to go to the club, throttle Beard, shake TF till he comes to his senses and give Redknapp a slap for even considering this. PLEASE PLAN FOR NEXT YEAR!! PLEASE!! Faurlin is young, good, committed. He's pisses all over the Championship and he's not on much. He is the last player we should let go ahead of next season. Finally, the other way to look at this, is name me a better CM tha Ale, IN THE WORLD, who would even consider joining us??? no....me neither. We can't sign someone better than him in his own position because no one better than him will want to play in the Championship unless we pay them a ridiculous salary, which we're then locked into even if the fecker stops trying. THIS IS MADNESS OF THE HIGHEST ORDER. I'd rather we sign no one. Absolutely no one and keep Ale. In fact, I'd rather we go down and keep Ale than leave it to chance whether we survive but let him go. |

Superb post which just about sums up everything I feel about the possibility of losing AF.To get rid of him in our situation would be absolutely mental and would make me question whether there is anyone at the club who is capable of rational thought.

Surely someone in the club...SOMEONE can see this is madness. I mean, take a step back, apply some rational thought and the last 12 months, we have *insert Jamie Redknapp's favourite word* LITERALLY made every wrong decision there is to make as a club. Name one good, long term proper decision we have got right. Apply hindsight; it's a good judge. We get judged by our results, hindsight allows us to see our results. People don't get paid to make decisions that they can explain away at that time, they get paif to make decisions that turn out to be good ones! Anyway, surely SOMEONE at the club can take a step back, sit down in silence, way up the pros and cons of letting Ale go, BEFORE RUNNING OUT OF THE ROOM SCREAMING IN A WILD PANIC AT THE SHEER F*CKING LUNACY OF IT!!!!!! STOP IT RANGERS! STOP IT! I AM SO F*CKING FRUSTRATED WITH HOW F8CKING INCOMPETENTLY WE'RE BEING RUN, I'M BEGINNING TO HATE YOU!

hmmm....it's just struck me today. I was fine when I got up and went to work. And, reading this board and some of the threads/issues has just got me more and more f*cking angry about it all. You could put f*cking Dappy in charge of running the club and he'd make fewer mistakes. Everything winds me up at the minute: - Sign another midfielder when we've got more midfielders than lower league clubs have players - Don't engage with the fans through forums, etc - QPR's f*cking fb and twitter pages. ARGGHHHHHH!!! If anyone doesn't depise them they are a pr*ck too. - Allowing our best f*cking CB to go manage somewhere else - Being linked with mercenary after f*cking mercenary! WE'VE HAD OUR PANTS PULLED DOWN LIKE THIS ONLY 6 F*CKING MONTHS AGO RANGERS!!! HOW HAVE YOUR FORGOTTEN??!! DON'T DO IT AGAIN!! - Letting King Mercenary go on strike and not sacking the c*nt for serious misconduct - And finally...not the straw...the f*cking ANVIL that broke the camel's back....Letting one of our best players we've had at the club in the last 20 years go because he's had 3-4 poor games this season off the back of a horrible injury. ARGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't feel like bringing a sign to LR on Sat, I feel like bring a gun.
Faurlin on 18:24 - Jan 10 with 1408 views | Charlie1 | Well said Hunter. When HR was being touted on here, I personally felt ideal for squad ie the mercenaries but bad for QPR. This is an example of why.

That's the other thing I should have added - Allowing 'Arry to be in sole charge of the cheque book and signings. He's a good man manager and motivator. And he's not too bad tactically. I can accep he was the best option available and could keep us up. But if there's one thing SCREAMING OUT AT YOU from his CV and past, it's DON'T PUT HIM IN SOLE CHARGE OF TRANSFERS!! I said at the time, it's like putting Paladini in charge of the UK Treasury. It's mindnumbingly ludicrous. Surely someone has thought it'd be a good idea to challenge all deals with the long term future of the club in mind?! Please, corner shops turning over less than £200k p.a. Thing more long term than us. The more I think about it, the more I blame Beard. He was brought it to run us like a business and we're being run like the worst business I could possibly think of. Woolworths and Clinton cards look like f*ckibg John Lewis compared to us.

Faurlin on 18:38 - Jan 10 with 1364 views | PhilmyRs | Sad news if Ale goes, always liked him and a very good player. You never know if a player can fully recover from an injury like Ale's, but It's too early to tell. What I will say though is that I think a few are being too quick to judge Livermore. The guy is an excelent age and clearly keen to get some game time. It's no disgrace playing second fiddle to Sandro, Parker and Dembele. [Post edited 1 Jan 1970 1:00]

And also what makes people think Redknapp wants to get rid of him. Seems to me there is more to this than we know. Either his agent pushing him , or maybe Harry doesn't think he's going to be the same player he was before the injury. Or maybe the club have told Harry to sell .
Faurlin on 20:15 - Jan 10 with 1174 views | ngbqpr | As this thread approaches 100 contributions in record time, 95% of them saying much the same thing, I start to wonder about Ian Taylor's invite to Clive - and if they do take on board fan feelings at all. Appreciate we're talking about a player here, not Twitter or the Ellerslie bogs etc - but the current management (both football & admin) have been here 5 minutes - whereas we have all spent 4 years watching this fantastic talent blossom against so many odds. We may not have the CV of a Redknapp, Fernandes or Beard - but can we all be wrong?

How beard is still employed bemuses me. That aside, selling Faurlin would be disastrous. Whether we're relegated or not.

I know lots of you want tonys man juice on them but someone has to take the wrap for this mess. Saying Hughes is a cop out. Someone ran the shop. There's threads on here re qpr1st....that and the day to day running of this club fall at the feet of our CEO.... Shirley? Hunters post was excellent (back to the point) I met faurlins agent and he's not like most, he's sound, this is no bullshit, faurlin has been identified by beard as a sellable asset. And arry is on with that. And sod allegedly.

His CV certainly looks impressive but I have 2 counter points: 1) I have a friend in the industry who was adament on day one of us being here that Beard is an overrated, overhyped, networker who has piggy backed off the success of others throughout his career and has never actually owner something soley from day 1 to the end. The 02 simply wasn't his result. He came in midway through and took the credit for others' results. This friend said this perception is widespread in the industry. And he's never worked with Beard so it's not a personal jealously thing. I trust my mate over an back scratching profile. 2) He simply failed to do anything of note since his arrival. In fact, he's presided over poor decision after another. Was long term strategy or particular 'win' has he been responsible for so far? There are so many small wins you could make with QPR that would tally up and could form the tactics driving a longer sterm strategy which in turn has been designed to help you reach your vision. I simply do not believe any of this high level strategic (with implementable tactics to bring it about) thinking has taken place. Beard is the CEO. If he likes taking the credit all the time then he has to take the flak for when he does a pap job. And yes, I will slap myself for being in agreement with Scottydog.
