Team for Cardiff 15:08 - Nov 26 with 5624 views | sdm1508 | So do we think Marti will drop Celar as the fans are/have turned against him and his performances are not up to it (at the moment) or will he continue with him to try and give him sort of confidence? I like Lloyds energy but not sure he can last the 90 minutes like that and would he better coming on as a sub? If that is the case, who do we start with. I wouldn't mind seeing Kolli there. I know he seems to be a player who gets better by not playing in terms of people's perception of him but at least he will be a presence up front, can hold the ball up and give the defenders something to think about, or is there another option?
Team for Cardiff on 15:14 - Nov 26 with 3806 views | mart_Goblin | Reading between the lines of his club interview yesterday, his little appeal to the fans to be patient with Celar suggests he’ll start tomorrow . Could be totally wrong of course, but that’s what I took from it
Team for Cardiff on 15:26 - Nov 26 with 3743 views | Lblock | I think Celar has his place until Frey returns. Which is a shame. I'd play Kholli, Alfie or anyone else there ahead of Celar. A clearer dud at this moment in time you couldn't find. What I just don't understand is the pisspoorplanning AGAIN heading into a season. Who dafeck thought it'd be a good idea rolling on with an unproven import and a patched up older import as our only recognised senior strikers???? I'm sick and tired of these arguements that strikers are expensive, rare and we can only have players that fundamentally have something wrong with them. It's absolute balls! We're fishing in the same pool as probably 15 other clubs -- how are they all managing to do it?!?!?! My hope for the team tomorrow is that Jimmy smashes Willock good n early and we can see the Dunne of old and he pops up with a pair of wonderful headers from set pieces.

Team for Cardiff on 15:40 - Nov 26 with 3661 views | Ned_Kennedys | I’d 100% stick with Celar. We can’t afford to give up on the lad. Lloyd is good to come on with his energy for the second half. Kolli has shown nothing to suggest he can play as a lone striker.
Team for Cardiff on 15:44 - Nov 26 with 3632 views | LazyFan | He will pick Celar, but really he should pick Lloyd who nearly scored in the last game if it was not for a great save and a bad pass from Andersen. Celar will run around like a maniac and everyone will say much improved, but he will be back to normal the match after. You will see.

Team for Cardiff on 15:59 - Nov 26 with 3457 views | stainrods_elbow | 1. He made a very extended point in his pre-match interview that Celar needed 'love' and showed 'courage' in taking the penalty he missed. 2. As he's pronounced himself, again repeatedly, delighted with our 'almost perfect' summer recruitment, his judgment about this squad, including Celar, is at stake. 3. We don't have anyone else, bar a couple of kids. MC probably shouldn't keep talking up his international appearances, though, as he hasn't scored for Slovenia in 17 apps either. Even Dykes has been (a lot) better for Scotland (and yes, though I never rated him highly, I'd take a swap with Brum through clenched teeth and with open arms right now). Law of averages suggests, even if he hardly deserves to, he has to score sometime. As he's quite reminiscent of a stopped clock, presumably even he'll be in the right place and right time a couple of times this season.

Team for Cardiff on 16:32 - Nov 26 with 3274 views | WokingR | Celar needs to be taken out of the firing line for a while, for his own benefit. We were discussing before Saturdays kick off whether, if we got a penalty, they should let Celar have it for confidence and to get off the mark, but the conclusion was that, if he missed it, it would destroy any little confidence he still had. Well, here we are and unless he has been in counselling all week he shouldn't be anywhere near the squad until the new year.

Following your suggestion (especially dropping him from the squad until 2025) would be terrible man management: I trust Cifuentes to know better.

Patient? I can’t imagine any support base being as patient as we’ve been. We’ve also cut Marti a considerable amount of slack. Celar needs to up his game 100% right now before I start thinking our manager is taking the piss.

At 2 millions euros, or however much it is that we're supposedly not allowed to know he cost us, we LITERALLY can't afford not to back him..

Agree, but he probably won't see it this way, as it's his positive judgment about the player that's on the line. Meanwhile, the fans' patience (Gk pathos = suffering) feels to me as much as resignation if not masochism! If Celar doesn't improve, however, it'll be wearing paper-thin even for us. I also think the patience is as much with Marti as coach in terms of what he's getting/not getting out of his squad, and so there's a double plea here. It's a bit perverse shouting support for Marti while berating Celar, but then we fans are more irrational than sane by definition of course.

Team for Cardiff on 19:10 - Nov 26 with 2608 views | Watford_Ranger | I don’t think it’s a case of giving up on Celar but I feel it’ll do him good to be taken out the firing line and be fresh for Watford in a quite frenetic week. Can’t see Kolli suddenly getting a game from the start so I’d give Lloyd a chance to be a nuisance and see what happens. Probably the last bit of optimism I have but I feel tomorrow is a real chance. Fear for us at Watford going there with a day’s less recovery off the back of a loss.

Team for Cardiff on 20:23 - Nov 26 with 2298 views | Mirrorball | I don't think he will drop Celar. It's fine to ask for patience with his lack of goals and, if he was working hard but not scoring then he deserves it. But it has to be a two-way street ... Put a shift in then I would be 100% behind him until Frey is fit again
Team for Cardiff on 20:28 - Nov 26 with 2275 views | actonman | Logically celar should start for all the reasons stated above ….BUT if he does what he has done for every other away game he has played … absolutely nothing ! Up front half arsed running back and fourth , not holing the ball up , being offside , not causing a nuisance, not winning headers then he comes off without seeing the half out as we just cannot afford to play with 10 men for another hour waiting to concede .
Team for Cardiff on 20:46 - Nov 26 with 2230 views | Hooparoo | Daniel Bennie can play as a striker and has the physical attributes to rough up their CBs. Celar might be better off coming on later when the game is stretched.
