Unrecorded games from way back when - any memories? 03:21 - Nov 20 with 915 viewsstainrods_elbow

v Derby (H), 1-1, 76/77 (my first Rs game)
v Watford (A), 1-2, 79/80 (sensational winner from Glenn Roeder, dribbled 50 yds, I think)
v Fulham (A), 1-1, 1982/83 (scorcher from Lewington if memory serves)
v Stoke (H), 6-0, 83/84 (I think Stewart scored the 5th or 6th from virtually the halfway line)

There's something about remembering untelevised games from years past that feels like recalling dreams.

Any nostalgic overlaps appreciated.

Poll: What points will we get from our 'Festive 3' (Swansea A, Norwich A, Watford H)?

I remember Watford away the following season. A 1-1 draw then we all went up to the NEC in Birmingham to see UB40, Squeeze, Elvis Costello and Madness. Suggs shouts 'anyone from London here' and half of the audience replied!!

I remember, from the late 50's, we were playing, Wrexham. They had a goal keeper called,, Ugolini. Well, we had a centre forward, called, George Whitelaw, who was a brute, of a player. I remember, Ugolini, turned around and said to us, what do they feed him on, raw meat. I don't think, George, lasted that long, with us?

I’ll go for home v Leicester in 1966. 4th round of League cup. We won 4-2 . Leicester were a top team and star studded including Gordon Banks in goal. In the second half Les Allen had a shot hit underside of bar, hit Banks on the back and went in. Right in front of us. Pandemonium in the loft.
I was sitting on a crush barrier held there by my dad.
