The Swans' change of ownership negotiations??? 14:44 - Nov 7 with 7441 views | TimBowen | I'm not one of these 'in the know' fans and, while I keep reading/hearing positive news about the potential sale of the club and change of ownership...I can't seem to find anything definitive about the current state of play. I'm hearing how the negotiations are well advanced, some saying completed! But suggestions made, for no public announcement, are the litigious minded US lawyers, dotting every i and crossing all the t's and because of it, it's all dragging on? But the question remains, are these sale negotiation rumours even accurate, or are they simply the fantasy, of well meaning but misguided, internet 'fan groups?' I say this, as the sporting media have been unusually quiet about it all, if it's correct? Does this mean the negotiations are being held in a professional and so, discreet manner, or is the sale just 'total hogwash' instigated by resentful fans, about the majority owners perceived apathy towards the club? The reasons behind Company House changes recently, may have been misunderstood. However, it's been the catalyst for desperate fans to get excited about the prospects of us being sold, to what appears (based on unsubstantiated rumours) perfectly credible, committed buyers. Should anyone have genuine inside sources, I'm sure many of us would like this to be confirmed/clarified/denied, one way or another please.
The Swans' change of ownership negotiations??? on 15:11 - Nov 7 with 3889 views | ReslovenSwan1 | I take all such stories with a large pinch of salt. The majority owners do not want to invest money monthly after month to stand still, but do want to be competitive. This means getting in new investors to share the hard financial yards. If someone else would fund Darling and Cabango new contracts they would be happy. They would not worry about dilution because dilution would be offset by inflation. They bought the club for roughly £70m for 70% of the club and added perhaps £15-20m with new peole joining the LLP. Premier league clubs are now worth double what they paid in 2016. I would expect them to "ease themselves out" of the club by on going dilution and hope new money would be enough to get back to the PL. They would then sell up their holding to new majority owners or someone else. [Post edited 7 Nov 15:13]

The Swans' change of ownership negotiations??? on 16:38 - Nov 7 with 3751 views | KeithHaynes | Can only refer you to this which was written on the 16th. I would keep an eye on the last few paragraphs. There’s plenty out there who will say ‘I know but I can’t say’ We deal in sources, tested over the past four years and some very well regarded journalists for this type of report. My belief is there is a form of change occurring, but we have to remember this just isn’t about selling the club. Jason Levien has a number of investors ‘tied up’ in the LLC in the USA. He is as sharp as a sharp thing when it comes to negotiations. He will either dispute he said something or change the content daily. The Trust experienced this over the first three years of them becoming majority owners. If it’s a sale as we believe has been discussed the whole thing will be convoluted, dragged on and not agreed within a long period of time. I’ve heard that if there was any potential sale Levien and Kaplan will want not only what they put in but be able to pay off the thirty odd investors at the start of all this. Then come out of the LLC financially sound. All that means it’s a long road. If it’s new investment, then we can refer back to the profit and sustainabilty issues. Andrew Coleman has reduced the outgoings massively, this to display a more sustainable club to invest in. The next P&S for 2023 is next year. Although any serious investor will be aware of those pending figures as they are already available within the club. I can’t see many continuing their interest without official P&S declarations. And then having sight in 2026 on next years figures. I’m not saying I think they will wait that long, but next years declarations will be crucial. https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/swanseacity/news/63146/swansea-city-will-

One thing I would like to add is MCDANIELS-SOUTHERN LLC was added at Companies House on 25th October, barely 2 weeks ago. Currently they have no investment and no shares, will there be in the future who knows, they could even be a "red herring". Even though expenses have been dramatically cut there will need to be some sort of investment in a couple of months in my opinion, going on recent trends. Whether that will be new shares and dilution by the majority owners, fresh investment or a short term loan who knows. But it could indicate the direction we are moving.

Levien will be clinging on for as long as he can in my opinion he's that type, Kaplan virtually said that he couldn't careless, he once said whatever happens at Swansea won't affect his life and that was just months or less even after taken control of the club.

Can’t see any of this applying with the confusing LLC issues. And Levien. Interesting read though 👍

They are irrelevant. Last time when US big money were circling their man declared "our shares are not up for sale and never will be".. Not one member contested this. They had another go in 2017 and failed to sell a single share the buyer walking away after 4 months claiming they were wasting their time. Many members were still against selling despite having a mandate.

He is worth at least $500m and blew perhaps $20m of his own money on Swansea. He still perhaps naively visited the Swansea fans in the early days. He cared enough to visit Russel Martin for a pep talk after Martin by his own admission had lost his mojo. ( After the January non event). It worked actually with My artin having his best run.

I thought that was SWANSEA FOOTBALL HOLDINGS LLC with 47500 shares, but you are probably right. Its a spiders web mate. It will all come out in time but I don't know how it complies with EFL rules regarding shareholding disclosure and recording.

please show some respect to the Trust. I am not sure if you know about the clubs history but the Trust played a major role in 2001 and 2002. If you are a newer fan from the last few years then you should take the time to research what the fans did in the dark days of Tony Petty. And I would advise listening to Kaplan and Jason at the Trust form from 2017. They explain the situation very well about the deal in 2016 and what they were told to do. It is staggering what they say at a public forum which was being recorded at the time. Please don't rely on what you read from WalesOnline as your only source.

Their ability to investigate is shocking, purely down to the fact access to pre match interviews is something they want to protect. We, on the other hand have no agenda, the club know our stance, and we won’t be lipped off by anyone.

The Trust did itself in by getting too close to Jenkins, Dineen and Morgan in the first place. The director at the time seemed more interested in seeing himself as one of the boys instead of the person who was there to keep an eye on them on behalf of the supporters. That's why they were completely blindsided in the first place. Whilst I never agreed with the continual cries for legal action (too many people wanted to do it as a first strike rather than an absolute last resort) it seems pretty clear that current Trust leadership is respected neither by the club nor the supporters. An irrelevance by and large. Which is a shame as in an ideal world the Trust should be strong enough to take control of the club entirely should the need ever arise.
| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

The reasons for their non involvement was because their shares were not for sale. From what i understand because the share were not up for sales they had no mandate from the members. This would take months and months. The Trust seemed quite proud of chasing away the 2015 interested party. Noel and Moore. A business cannot operate at the rate the Trust does its business. The US people tried to buy their shares again in 2017 but that ended in chaos. Sources SCST WoL BBC ITV Sky The Trust deserve no respect in my book. They are more trouble than they are worth. Old men money hoarders. It is laughable when they claim they will save the club. They won the lottery but could not be bothered to submit their slip. And no none cares or held responsible. By all means give your £5. I very much doubt the club will every see it.

The Trust position was very clear in February 2015. No one contradicted this until much later when the damage had been done. Levien and Kaplan were in Swnsea checking out the joint only a few months later sometime in the Summer of 2015.

Why are the trust continually brought up on new ownership threads. Whether they should have sold or not is irrelevant as we look to move forward.
