Today’s highlights 19:50 - Sep 28 with 2258 views | bosh67 | https://www.skysports.com/watch/video/13223681/blackburn-rovers-2-0-queens-park- Not too sure why there are threads on here writing our players off already. Feels like bollox to me. I don’t think we’re too far off getting there. Today we were the better team arguably in the first half. Varane’s sending off was clumsy but he slips going into the tackle so a little unlucky. Second half with 10 men it’s hard but the deflected goal changes everything. The Smyth goal there’s nothing wrong with the tussle to get the ball. Not sure what the problem is there? Nardi showing that he’s a really top keeper but the doom and gloom really needs to stop and everyone needs to get behind the team because it’s really not that bad and I think we’ll be fine.

And having watched the highlights, the two overidding emotions I have are, I'm undecided as to whether Travis is the worst for his play acting or the ref for actually buying it. I do still need to see a better angle of the Varrane tackle because I'm still not sure of which side of the fence I sit on. fwiw, overidding opinion, so far, seems to be a yellow.

Today’s highlights on 09:04 - Sep 29 with 1461 views | Hoopstar | I thin Varane was certainly a thick orange card, and refs are within their rights to give those. He was careering out of control and was just a silly flash of the moment type of situation. I actually quite like Varane - people seem dead set against him but he's mobile and does a lot of stuff well. His break forward was criminal however in that first half. Thought the Smyth goal should have stood too - that was just a weak ref giving the easy decision. So many Travis types in the Championship - we still seem to refuse to play like that which I both support but also sometimes wish we were a bit more gitty. Bar WBA, and the first half versus Sheff Utd, we have not been overpowered and completely outplayed at all this season - it is miles away from where we were last season and can't see us going on a six game losing streak from here as per last year. Chair coming back, I think, is going to make a huge difference - we really miss his ability to make the ball stick and allow players to get out. I like Dembele and Saito but they do not have his strength and ability to shield the ball and of course are yet to be proven quality Champ players like Illy! Still think we'll finish between 10th and 14th this year. Would love to break the monotony of 9 years without breaking the top 10 but can't see the goals as many have said.
