Excellent news.
Got to thank Liam though, we had a chat this morning and I told him to utilise a few contacts, should get more info. He said, I’ve done better than that I rang the training camp hotel and asked to speak to Lawrence Vigouroux, they said I couldn’t at the moment, but I said I just wanted to know he had arrived safely 😂
They said he had.
He’s going to be a top sports writer one day, trust me.

Some good keeping on show
One of the things about goalkeeping that a lot of people find difficult to accept is that it's very hard to make a highlights video demonstrating why a keeper is genuinely "good".
Pulling off the flashy saves is by far the easiest part of the job. Most people have reasonable reflexes. You could put any Tom, Dick or Harry in goal throughout the season and put together a highlight video of saves that they made.
What separates the genuinely capable from the rest is the other stuff. What they're like under the high ball. How they deal with possession under pressure. How they command their six yard box. What their communication is like. No video will show that.

You are right. However, it shows he has pretty good reflexes.
Your point would be strengthened if you put up a Fisher showreel. Are there enough instances to make him look good in a 5 minute medley? Probably.

Exactly.
The video shows many ‘ for the camera saves’
It shows he is very agile, but let’s see how he handles the bread and butter stuff to give his defenders belief.
Time will tell, not a few minute video , so at the moment it’s still about hope.

Your right It is about the hope but it is a welcome alternative to what we already have. Not saying that the youngsters aren't good but this signing will give them a little more time to grow and develop. At the moment glad to see the signing being made hopefully the relationship with his defenders will blossom.

We can only get who is available and hopefully improve on what we have. Not wanting to sound negative but in a different time would a 30 year old with a CV in the lower divisions be brought in as a short term back up keeper. More than happy if this works, just hoping that he can produce solid performances and just that he’s not Fisher.

We have to stop the decline as we balance the books, at times in the previous two seasons we have been in free fall unable to win at home smash and grab away, hopefully with an older keeper he can help the defenders in front of him, looks a big unit wonder what he is like under the high ball.

So what do we do with Fisher now. He's costing us over £10K ,a week and seldom plays. We brought Rushworth in over him and now hopefully this guy. Do we go with Broome as back up and try to offload Fisher or not because Broome is stagnating otherwise and he is older than Rushworth.

Just read todays article and he does sound grounded and willing to learn
Genuinely hope it comes good for us as well as for him
