Does anyone know if this is true?
I was hoping he’d have a superb tournament and sell for £1M?!

On the upside from that photo he's more mobile than some weeks.

Crap news for him in all seriousness. You don't get stretchered off in training unless you've done something pretty bad.

Never knowingly right.

Lord, you would think Lyndon was Taylor Richards the way this thread is going on. Sure, he's not a great player, but he's ours, always gives his all and I think all this derogatory stuff is somewhat unfair. As if he was going to rip up the Euros anyway.

Get better soon Lyndon.

FFS just wanted him to score a goal or two so somebody would be mad enough to take him off our hands

Well, he's standing on it there without crutches so hopefully not too awful.

Never knowingly right.

Gutted for him. hope he can recover - there's always one poor sould who misses out on the tournaments in most squads.

Very diplomatic and I think this is a sentiment we can all get behind.

Regardless of whether he is a good QPR player or not. He is one of ours and he tries his hardest and wears our badge proudly.

He also has had some good patches of form for us including the run in at the end

It’s a shame as I would have watched Scotland games to see one of Rs playing

Or am I just to sentimental?

Agree 100%, as I'm sure most genuine fans do.
Marti mentioned during the run-in that he'd been talking to the squad about scoring more "ugly" goals, rather than leaving it for Chair or Willock (or latterly Dunne and Cook of course ) to score an absolute "worldie".
Dykes' goal against Leeds was a sign that he'd taken that on board, and a good tournament with Scotland would have set him up nicely for the start of next season with us.
It seems some of our fanbase have pathetically short memories, given its not that long since he battled back from pneumonia at a time when his consistent pressing and harrying made a significant difference to the team.

I think he's saying this niggle has given him the chance to get his Halloween decorations up nice and early, and he's finally convinced the wife to move the champagne bucket.

Hope he recovers in time anyway.

Yeah I think Halloween decorations suggest this is an old pic.

Or he needs to get the feather duster out.

They are also treating the other ankle on the training pitch

Ha ha . Blimey !
One person made a joke and then said “ i hope he is ok in all seriousness “

Bit of an over reaction really.

We all hope he does well and hope he recovers in time.
No need to be quite so precious

Short memories ?

I think you seem to be only remembering a couple of goals and forgetting 90% of the absolute dire performance we had to watch from him over the last 3 years !!

We won't progress as a club with him up front and the sooner he goes the better . I'm just praying he isn't badly injured to stop that happening!

Does a parent club still get paid compensation if their player is injured while on international duty?
If so, this could be Dykes biggest contribution for ages.

Short answer is yes. Don't know how much though

Interesting information about the Club Protection Programme:

https://www.ecaeurope.com/about-eca/main-achievements/club-protection-programme/

First 28 days of injury not covered, then fixed salary covered for up to 1 year - doesn't cover bonuses, add-ons etc.

"Remember to listen to me but look at her. Don't get it the wrong way round. That would be hideous."

Just our luck! He'll be out for a couple of months and then fit for the start of next season.
