As they should be worried but I hope the worry reaches the very top and not just the minions

Theres car crash interviews and there's on 18:03 - Jan 12 with 2438 views | max936 | Why do the British Public need to apologise, what have they done, what an absolute charlatan and an utter clown. He was in charge of the Post Office Affairs he's as culpable as the rest. "The Lib Dems have dismissed suggestions that Sir Ed should follow in the footsteps of former Post Office chief Paula Vennells by returning his knighthood. A Liberal Democrat spokesman said: 'Ed's heart goes out to the victims of this terrible miscarriage of justice. 'Like all ministers of all parties over the past two decades, Ed was lied to by the Post Office on an industrial scale. It is the Post Office which owes an apology to the victims for their appalling behaviour and the pain and suffering they caused." Him and his tin pot party are a joke and always have been, yet another piece of vermin who was in Government. Like I've said previously they're all the same, no matter what party they "belong" to, billionaires and millionaires who have never wanted for anything in their lives, totally disenfranchised from the general British Public. He’s the only one the Daily Mail chooses to focus on for obvious reasons. There are numerous of them from all parties but in an election year vested interests choose their targets. Fujitsu should be taken to the cleaners over this as should all the Post Office people who lied and covered up the whole thing. Cheap party political point scoring needs to be put aside.

100%. The Conservative supporting press are pointing the finger at all and sundry except their chums in government. What’s happened is outrageous and completely unacceptable. For around 4 years now the fact that the system was unreliable and the fact some bigwigs in the post office fibbed and covered things up has been known, but it’s only we’re seeing real progress and that’s because of the TV program. The fact that politicians have taken so long to get things moving is in my opinion even worse than the original injustices.

Fujitsu have continued to make the best part of a billion from the country even though they have been shown to be a sham of a company. They shouldn't be allowed near another government contract again. Give British companies a chance rather than be fobbed off by companies that under cut and then under deliver. Let's have a full clear out of the same companies failing to deliver IT projects and cost the tax payer billions for rubbish

The obvious reason being he was Secretary of State for postal affairs at the time of the scandal? He should have to answer questions on the subject. It was literally his gig.

Because some are twisting the narrative to let some off the hook, or at least give some an easy ride. This is a scandal of huge proportion ultimately committed by government owned body, people need to be held to account and some sources are in my opinion trying to prevent that happening.

(I really don't believe in this party political mud slinging, I just wrote that to show how ridiculous it is. It's losing sight of the real issue here which is trying to get some sort of justice for the postmasters)

Unfortunately in a coalition government you have to give jobs to members of the coalition Party. Ed Davey has called for tye resignation of 31 MPs and civil servants who were in charge during other scandels.

I agree with you, but to be fair to Blair he did highlight his concerns and was given reassurances and there were also no indication at this stage that the software, developed by Fujitsu, could cause the financial discrepancies that led to hundreds of sub-postmasters being wrongfully convicted. What really annoys me is that as time has passed and the defects have become more apparent, the Post Office have lied and politicians have procrastinated while the victims have suffered misery.

Mandelson makes me laugh he writes it all works well and if you were to cancel it that would look bad politically. So why would you consider cancelling if it works?

Correct. The problem that the sub PO's came up against was that no one investigated the situation properly. It's been said many times over the last couple of weeks that if it had been the police investigating and not the internal PO people then they would have seen the blindingly obvious pattern at the start. What needs to happen now is that the inquiry should do its job properly. There's no point in repeating the mistakes made with the sub PO's. But the job should be done quickly and not dragged out for years which always seems to happen. None of us know exactly what happened with any of the politicians, senior PO people or Fujitsu yet. Not all of it. But when it is all investigated and proven then the guilty people should be pilloried. Absolutely.
