Really interesting piece CW - As a lot of focus peers beyond May and a hopeful survival in the Champ. It strikes me we are (again) in a position where survival without fines is becoming what good looks like in this division.

If the Baggies dont go up and everything remains the same, it would appear that they will be another club in danger of points deductions (or worse). I think in one of the last Finance reviews done by one contributor (Nils I think?) WBA arent the only ones in a perilous position. It strikes me that each season we are seeing a couple of clubs enter the relegation scrap due to getting their finances offside.

We had a "mild" gamble last year on Promotion and we shit the bed, but the optimist in me feels like we may have enough time to batten down the hatches and stay on the right side of the fence.

If thats the case then the focus for 2024 season must be get the finances straight, get a clear view of who in the B Team can make a champ player and dive back in to the lower leagues for any signings....

Think its gunna be a tough few years ahead, but feels like their are a number of clubs in worse positions in the league.

All that in mind how do we justify the amount of staff we employ and also is the DOF role still a must have at QPR? (ignoring the person in that role at the moment - we seem to have the position but not really use it properly).

Here's to staying alive..
