I did think, watching that, how wonderful t'internet is. When we first started watching the match-ups between Kelly and Marino we were lucky if we got the score on the same day as the game. I used to get Dolphins Digest, a weekly magazine update by post from Florida. Now you can see this kind of insight within hours of the final whistle. Have to say that was a wonderful win for them. Chiefs aiming to be the fourth team to make the Superbowl 3 years on the bounce - the other 3 the Bills, Pats and Fins from the AFC East. This stat is astounding and the ultimate "game of two halves"

I think that Flores is extremely brave in something that needed to be said but comparisons made to Kaepernick and his stance. Upshot is that I doubt Flores will be employed within the NFL again.

Not having a team in the final I bottled the matchsticks under the eye-lids option and watched the highlights package this morning. Never as good as the actual time left in the highlights can give away the outcome, but was pleasantly surprised it didn't. A fitting end to an unpredictable season and a good game. Disappointed with the officiating (again) as I've been for most of the season - it really has been grim and inconsistent throughout. The NFL really does need a progressive new Commish, but the owners won't vote their puppet out.
Anyway, rant over, a most enjoyable watch. Spoiler alert - don't read on if you are planning to watch highlights later.
Loved the Kupp MVP. I honestly thought he had concussion - he took such a beating on that last drive and the helmet to helmet hit followed by the head bouncing on the ground TD must have rung his bell big style and he seemed dazed afterwards, but hearing him interviewed for the first time, I realised what a quiet unassuming man he is in a sport packed with super-sized personalities. An absolutely disgrace and a desperate move by the Browns. As a supporter of them for over 40 years I will be supporting the opposition until Berry and Watson have left the organization. Clearly Watson will "buy" a not guilty verdict in the civil case but he is a sex offender. Even the fact that he only gets $1m in year 1 shows that both he and the Browns know he will be suspended so it will be about $240m over 4 years, all guaranteed.

Miami will probably be watching him still playing in January from their sofa's with their morals intact but with their superbowl chances in shreds.
He was always going to be traded once the criminal charges, all 22 of them, were dropped and the grand jury indictment went away. Libel laws don't carry the same weight as criminal in the States given the litigious nature of their society.

The fins now have the three fastest men (clocked in-game) in the NFL. That's not track speed, either, they are football players in pads which gives me some heart.
As with (almost) all NFL contracts, there's a trapdoor built in to make cutting him or renegotiating a deal possible. The Jets were the other suitor and they offered the same draft capital as us, so it was up to the player who he chose based on city/individual terms (he lives in S. Fla and as you say, no state tax!) KC were class throughout and made the process easier and have benefitted to the tune of the equivalent of a #15 pick in total trade value. They now have 2 picks in each of the first 4 rounds this year and consecutive picks in the 1st, so they are in a position to retool with cheaper contracts - not too shabby from their end either. we don't pick until #102 in the 3rd now.

71 yard completion from Tua. We've acquired the #1 LT in FA and a decent lineman from Dallas so maybe Tua gets more protection from the OL than last year when we had turnstiles at each position. We've also brought a lot of "teaching" coaches in, so perhaps technique and discipline will also improve and Tua gets more time to pass.
I read that Tua's average completion was 1 yd less than Mahomes last year. In addition, Tyreek Hill caught 9 passes in 2021 where the ball traveled 20+ air yards. This was from 25 attempts - the rest fell incomplete. Tua was the most accurate at this distance, but over much fewer attempts as the OL was so bad. Bombs are important to stretch a D and keep it honest, but in practice, they are not a big part of the 60-70 offensive plays called on any given Sunday except on highlight reels. YACs are where drives are made.
There are two factors which should bode well. Tua is healing from the hip injury and getting stronger by the day. He is also one of the most accurate passers in the league given time, so he can lead Hill and Waddle with passes and hopefully get those YACs. Neither guarantees success, but both should give the fins a big leg up in terms of improvement.

We have been very predictable and one-dimensional for too long (just like Dale?) and the new offense promises to be the exact opposite. Mostert, Hill and Waddle are the trio of the 3 fastest. Mixed feelings about the stadium…so many memories (good and bad, but memories) . Took my kids there from when they were small, seen some absolute belting games (including the occasional loss to the fish!) and some remarkable players.
The Pegulas have held the different levels of government to ransom …if you know buffalo you know there are a hell of a lot of other things money like this could be spent on to improve peoples lives.
reduced capacity so fewer tickets available for the masses and no doubt the inevitable price increases. Oh and introducing seat licences so more gouging the real fans.
