I like Ralph and think he’s been given a raw deal in terms of player ins and outs but he looks shot. Long on is baffling. Do we roll the dice and go for a change ?

Yes, of course, but why has Ralph had a raw deal? If he is subbing on the worst player in prem history and taking off a very good player that he is playing out of position he's absolutely clueless and it wouldn't matter who was in the squad. The team never had a chance of scoring from the KO due to Romeu and Prowse in the middle. They are negative, slow and devoid of any positive skills. Prowsey is NOT a dead ball specialist as he's crap at it and Romeu's only skill is to brutally foul the opposition and get a regular yellow. As long as we have those two in the middle we're doomed and are already in the Championship. It's over.

Being likeable and nice shouldn’t keep you in a job.
Give it till after the Watford game and see.
No win by then then maybe yes time for a change.
It’s a results business.
But who?

We thought that we had the answers, It was the questions we had wrong.

Romeu is a decent player. Ward-Prowse is a quality free kick taker. We played poorly as a team today. We played very well against Manchester City. Life goes on, as does your tiresome agenda.

Don't change your name it's perfect. Unlike our rubbish corner taker, our slow CM and our choice and timing of subs as usual. Hassenaclue MUST be waiting for the P45, long wait though as we can't afford to get rid.

But this is a game SOG that we should not have played poorly in.

You know I had that split feeling today - would we be the team that would transfer the recent performances into one that will get us a win against a mediocre opposition who has not had a great start to the season or will we be that team that all too often will go and lose or concede against a team that is playing poorly or a player that has not scored for ages and sadly the latter half of me came true and worst of all, I am not even surprised.

I don't agree very often with I_Would on JWP and Romeu but at the moment he is not wrong - JWP has not been anything special so far this season and we look light weight in midfield and virtually powder puff up front. My biggest disappointment is Che Adams -- that guy cannot even hit a barn door. Yes, he runs about alot, gets in good positions but his conversion rate is appalling for a so called striker. He is the new Shane Long. Adam Armstrong is not the answer.

We got a good draw against Man City but that seems almost immaterial now. Chelsea will tear us apart especially as Tuchel was smarting from the result and performance against City. They won't have a game like that again.

A brave reply, the Prowsey droolers don't respond well to home truths as a rule. I think that with better and quicker more positive service from CM, Armstrong and Che might look a bit more effective but Tella or even Walcott or Moussa should be on for Che anyway as his confidence is shot and he seems to aim at the GK's midriff on every shot.

Broja has to start with armstrong
Livramento RM with KWP behind
Tella left wing
We need Stu Armstrong back
And I think diallo should be playing more

But should doesn’t always work though does it as we know. Both teams were poor today although we were slightly the better team, they put the ball in the net and we didn’t. Apart from the Everton game we haven’t played badly this season. Today we did. The defence generally looks better but we seem to have sacrificed some attacking threat in the process of tightening up at the back. As many people have said, we miss Armstrong and he will make a difference when he comes back. We are not a bad side but we do need to find a way to get Armstrong firing up front. I still think we will be fine this season so long as we don’t panic and hopefully today’s poor show will prompt Ralph to play Tino and KWP together on the right as I think they could pose a decent threat. We are just 6 games in to the season. There is a long way to go yet.

You have to ask why isn’t Ralph seeing the right side like we all do
That’s where his issue is with selection he seems to ignore the obvious choices and try to be deliberately different

It's too early and besides we don't have an ambitious chairman / owner who will be upset with 5th from bottom. As long as we arn't bottom of the league and destined to go down, they won't sack him. He would cost too much to pay off and it's only worth the 8 million if we are set to lose more from relegation.

But, I do see the fans are upset when he plays a right back at left back when we have a recognised left back. He brings on subs when we go one down. But having said that, I'm not sure that anyone else would do any better with the minimal resources we have under this terrible owner.

It's very true that we have had a long period of very little points return and at most other clubs he would probably be gone. We haven't won a PL game in ages. But we won't sack him. Semmens loves Ralph doesn't he. And we can't afford to sack him, unless losing millions saves us from relegation. So it's just meh isn't it.

it is time he went, what on earth is his thinking bringing on Shane Long ffs, JWP was bl**dy crap, Romeu has had his day, Redmond should not even be in a shirt, a great right back playing left back, and still he does not seem to have any idea. Get rid ASAP or we will be in the Championship before we know it.

Playing good players out of position isn’t helpful either

I can only agree that Ralph isn't doing himself any favours. What message does it send to France's player of the year last year, to prefer to play another player out of position? It's very bizarre.

There's one person on the planet who thinks KWP should play LB and that's Hassenaclue. There are two people on the planet who think Long should have come on as a sub. That's Long and Hassenaclue although having said that Long looked a bit bewildered himself. Judging by Ralph's body language I think he may need to have a 'chat' with someone. Like a counselor.........

Completely
Bringing in Perraud looked a good signing
Leaving him out and playing arguably last seasons best player out of position in his place is fkn STUPID
Especially when Tino will fit in seamlessly at RM
As for Tella getting benched WTAF?!?

In Ralph’s defence I used to think you can’t make a purse out of a sows ear but now I’m not sure Ralph is not making a sows ear out of a purse. Yes! We have some players who are not premiership standard but there’s quite a few that are.Something is very wrong with team selection and tactics.

It has, and I’ve criticised him in the past. Today though, I didn’t mind his starting line up. Yes, maybe Perraud instead of KWP, but KWP offered more threat in the box than Redmond, so it wasn’t such a bad call.

Then Ralph made his first two subs pretty quickly after the goal and they were like for like sensible changes.

Agreed, bringing on Long was a Bit left field but at least he made the sub with 15 mins to go and it was the addition of another attacker for a defender.

In short, Ralph has made far more bizarre decisions in the past and he’s dithered more, making his changes too late. He looks like he might be learning something.

Can the coach who pulled off a tactical masterclass at Man City last week really be the same man who brought Shane Long on to try to rescue a point today? It's all so confusing.
