Incredibly uncomfortable watch and Jonathan Pierce (who I normally enjoy) talking about Mark Vivien Foe isn't helping.

They should cut the video feed.

That was awful. I've gone cold. I've dealt with similar situations in my life but that has just caught me out, I'm in tears. Really poor from the broadcasters controlling the pictures as they carried on showing images even as he was getting shocks from the defibrillator.

I think the whole of the football is praying for him.

Never seen anything remotely like that in a footy game ... praying for him

It took over an hour to revive Muamba I think so still a chance.

Genuinely shocked. The way he collapsed you knew it was bad straight away. Praying Eriksen makes it.

Bbc should’ve stopped broadcasting a lot sooner. Danish players were shielding Eriksen for a reason and no need to show his poor wife in tears on the pitch. Very disrespectful imo.

Hope he pulls through. Absolutely awful

This.

Instant treatment and proximity to some of Europe's best hospitals will be very much in his favour.

I don't want to make any rash statements about his chances but apparently he was conscious and responsive when he left the stadium.

Where are you hearing this news from about being responsive/conscious?

Sky's Euro 2021 news reporting he was awake when leaving the pitch on a stretcher but no official conformation as of yet.

Following the medical emergency involving Denmark's player Christian Eriksen, a crisis meeting has taken place with both teams and match officials and further information will be communicated at 19:45 CET.

The player has been transferred to the hospital and has been stabilised.

Twitter has pics of him, eyes open on a stretcher, holding his head. Hopefully he'll pull through.

Yep, fingers crossed. From memory, there’s a major hospital a few hundred metres from the stadium, so hopefully that will work in his favour. Hoping everything works out okay.
