How many days to go is it?

Football will be played, intermittently. Some players will fukc something up, Preston will be a bit cynical, 2-0 Rs.

A magnificent football club, the love of our lives, finding a way to finally have its day in the sun.

Only team I know who could waste time after the Final whistle.

God help us, hope Ref knows what to expect.

Well if there is still petrol available, the power is still on and I can find something to eat before now and then - me and Mrs Pinner will be there.

Its going to be cold, so the big coats and limited room will be in evidence.

2-0 us I'll go for.

I'm just hoping we get an early goal to avoid another 'time wasting' debate on here!

I do have a little tip to help your blood pressure though...…….

At 0-0 look how long Bidwell and Furs take with throws and Joe when he releases the ball - it won't be that quick I can tell you that!

A match thread on a wednesday for Saturday kick off. I like it.

It reminds me of that american runner Thomas Byer?, in the early 80's, who was supposed to act as a pacemaker for Steve Ovett in his world record attempt on the 1500mtrs.. This hippy steve hillage looking fu cker never read the script and set off for home early winding up his run after about 300 meters of the 1500m, and then hung on for glory beating a pissed off Ovett.

imo Theres something creepy about Prestons Manager alex Neil. I remember him lumbering about on the touchline at QPR with Norwich i think, looking like 'Streaky Jeffries' the tea urn gofer in Roger Daltrys' Mcvicar', but that's just the way my mind works.

Upon further reflection he seems the sort of gadge who would spend 8 hours on the charcuterie board and hand cut sweet meats before retiring for the afternoon to watch young boys in sailors bell bottoms urinate on fresly cut flowers in the bowles of some satanic sex club. Again, thats just me and he's probably a really good bloke that you would like to have a pint with and a round of pitch 'n' putt .

thinking about it, i think my dislike of him stems from watching Peston beat us regularly which aint his fault really , so I take the comparison to sex fiend ' Streaky Jeffrie's back.

1-1 all fair in love and war. Good bloke, Alex.

I can remember a 2-2 with a late comeback inspired by Gareth Ainsworth a few years back.
A defiant 10 minute chant of "Di Canio DI Canio" was a great memory.

The dressing room was getting distracted and fractious Disco, we needed to get minds back on the game in hand.

Alex Neil - terrifying bent copper in Taggart who'll never let on he's a ballroom dancing champion.

One of the best games ever, purely for the last 10 minutes, 2 goals in stoppage time was wonderful carnage!

edit: "We're gonna win when Rangers sing....De Canioooooooo...." repeat ad infinitum.

This one's breaking my balls.

I'm in London tomorrow, in Hayes of all places, and I organised two meetings in the morning so I could pop along to see my Rangers before flying back tomorrow evening. Clever, huh?

Then, for no reason I can fathom apart from that I obviously was a thundering bollix in a previous life or something, a third meeting was added for 2pm-4.30pm.

Not a hope of me making Loftus Road.

1-0 R's.

Botwell Lane, Mick.

It's a charity thing to be held in the buildings belonging to the catholic church there.

I know it well. Never been in the church but I have these meetings in the offices 'round the back about six or seven times a year.
