He just doesn’t look comfortable, or up to speed, with our style of play, which makes you wonder what Moore or Wade have done to be so readily overloooked, given they’ve been training with the club at the lot longer.

Match thread: Walsall, H on 15:58 - Aug 25 by DaleFan7 | Wilbraham has been a passenger. Doesn't offer anymore than Andrew and Andrew is better defensively. Think he only touched it twice. |
Can’t disagree with that so far. He’s obviously a good footballer, but it just isn’t happening and certainly doesn’t fit into the way we are choosing to play at the moment.

Match thread: Walsall, H on 16:17 - Aug 25 with 2869 views | fitzochris | I can’t work out if we’ve got slower or Walsall have got better at closing down this half. They also look more dangerous. Two very decent balls in that luckily fell to no one.

And Henderson. He’s now actually playing up front

Inman is an option that really should happen.

Match thread: Walsall, H on 16:40 - Aug 25 with 2628 views | fitzochris | Horrendous miss by MJ. We now have all of our available attacking options on the pitch in the right positions. If we fail to score in this game, we need to reassess.

It took going 2-0 down for us to look like we wanted to score.

Match thread: Walsall, H on 17:03 - Aug 25 with 2299 views | fitzochris | Given the context of the entire match and how the opposition played, losing that game was an embarrassment. We didn’t look remotely threatening until we were 2-0 down, which we should never have been in the first place. This was no Peterborough or Barnsley, this was our own inadequate system doing for us. Fook waiting for the 10-game mark, the debate starts here and now.

Match thread: Walsall, H on 17:09 - Aug 25 with 2205 views | DaleFan7 | Walsall were not a good side but they punished our mistakes. We didn't create anywhere near enough from the amount of the ball we had. Walsall are already 1/4 of the way to safety and most people probably had them as a team to fight relegation this season . On the plus side it's the first time we've not conceded 4 at home this season.

Question for you Chris were we a bit naïve to offer Hill a 5 year deal?

I've got to admit I'm worried Hill might have a knee jerk reaction and resign tonight. He knows he'll walk straight into another job just based on his track record. This is the first time the fans have been really, really on his back...will he cope? I'm not so sure. Hopefully he doesnt do anything stupid but i have a bad gut feeling.
