Any plumbers here? 17:50 - Oct 6 with 1421 views | Kennedy | Hi, We have an Ariston MicroGenius 28 and have had a problem over last few weeks of E33 and if you pressed the reset button would clear it. Then last few days now says e34 so looked in manual and says about air pressure switch. So called out a plumber local to us and he thought might be the restrictor ring so that was removed. Did nothing, cleaned the fan, nothing. Now (he) thinking it might be the bracket as that has come undone below the flue or the air pressure switch. He said if none of these work might aswell get a new boiler. Now has anyone fixed these issues, is it the case of if its not the air pressure switch a new boiler is needed. I just do not want to start throwing money at something when he cannot say for sure what it is. The PCB was changed about 6 months ago after a A01 error so should not be the pcb again. New boiler was £1200 fitted

Any plumbers here? on 12:14 - Oct 7 with 1271 views | Swanaldinho | Aristons are notorious for breaking down? Who says? I have had an Ariston Combi for 5 years and not a single problem. If it's installed correctly I am sure Ariston are as good as any if not better than most. People bang on about Bosch and other expensive brands. My Neighbour paid £3500 for a Bosch and the British Gas man has spent so much time fixing it the Council have given him a residents parking permit.

Less likely could be the pressure switch sticking or one of the pressure tubes split. Removing the restricter ring is just a quickfix if it was that it would have been playing up since it was installed. Aristons don't have the best reputation but you shouldn't need to change the boiler. If you cant get it sorted or it needs a new fan probably the cheapest way to do it is phone British Gas they do a one off repair with parts included for a set price. Good luck.
