Remember the pies, peas and ox tail soup for gravy Mr Ashworth used to sell from the outlet in the corner of Sandy and Willbutts lane. So hot had ulcers on palate of mouth for days after. Fantastic fair though.

I'm not convinced the prices in the home end and the away end are the same.

My steak pie was £1.50 in the pearl street end last Saturday.
Eh? Is this right? Pies are £2 in the Main Stand, so can't believe they're any different anywhere else, including the away end.
Would think as part of all the pre-match stuff that's appearing on the OS in the days prior to this Saturday's game, this could be cleared up by pointing out the prices for food. Just like they were going to do with the prices for a pre-match drink.
Couldn't get one in the Pearl Street End at the bury game ...sold out before half time. Would have thought that quantity control would have realized it was potentially the biggest attended game of the season?
