Marti/Nourry 13:24 - Nov 6 with 1785 views | Publius | Admittedly open supporters of the latter are few and far between whereas those of the former, Marti, are, at the moment, in the majority, but why isn't it possible that both are out if their depth and need to go? The evidence against Nourry is obvious but is the evidence in favour of Marti compelling? He arrived only as potential after a decent, though far from great career to date and there is an argument that the success we enjoyed at the end of last season was significantly achieved as a consequence of opponent's failings rather than exclusively as a consequence of we got right. There is every chance that he has been found out at a level he has no previous experience of and isn't ready for and may not ever be. I'm not certain we need to divide ourselves over this and need to consider that both are the wrong men at the wrong time

Marti/Nourry on 13:28 - Nov 6 with 1718 views | GaryBannister86 | I don't get the argument that belittles Marti's achievements last season, they were excellent. Of course he isn't perfect but maybe after jettisoning Warbs we just like having an erudite grown up back in charge. He saved us last season, so why shouldn't we back him in darker times? As if anyone else will do any better. If Nourry sacks him I am looking for my pitchfork. [Post edited 6 Nov 13:29]

Completely different to 'MC has got to go' and Nourry should walk'? What because it cunningly combines both? I must be tired.

Yes, different because one of those threads proposes that Marti should go, the other that Nourry should whilst I'm asking posters to consider that the issue is with both men. Hope that helps.

That is the mess this club keeps making. People need to be ess precious about MC - the whole set up at the club is and has been... awful for ages now. [Post edited 6 Nov 13:54]

That's a good point about being less precious about Marti. A lot of fans have put a lot of faith in him and it is built on, if we're being honest, a handful of matches with a team he inherited from Ainsworth. I understand that for some the emotional attachment to the club is a lot more than just 'turn up, watch the game, go home' but it can't be healthy to place so much importance on or faith in Marti, can it?

He seems a likeable guy, and we all desperately want him to succeed. Like those in the hot seat before him, he has been given pretty crappy tools to do the job...but he can't be above criticism. He is learning about what English football is about, in a crucible called the Championship. It may just be too much for him...like a lot of the players. It will be interesting if nothing else, to see how this unfolds. We are Drama Queens Park Rangers after all 😉

And the Major also asked Basil - "Why do we bother, Fawlty?" That is a question that only the supporters who loyally turn up at Loftus Road week after week can answer. And why are the QPR management not publishing attendances anymore? What is the management trying to hide? Answers have to match quality of previous posts, such as "One flew into the Chelscum net" and "Shaun's Shanked Redemption" - to stop me going nuts. "Whos' Nourry now?'" for starters? By the way, my sign off below never seemed more relevant than today. [Post edited 6 Nov 14:25]
