I can't keep up with this club and forum.! So are we skint and can't afford players? Are we a selling club? Does FFP still apply? 2 weeks ago we were saying we're chucking everything overboard that's not screwed down, we've fked up and we're preparing for L1. Crying about not getting any money for our players and holding on to our assets for too long. Bid comes in for Chair. Nope not selling.
If they up the offer to 10 million euros I think he'll be sold. We've signed potential replacements for him in Andersen and Hodge who can both play as a no.10 creative role. Chair may not want to go though as Trabzonspor are way off the Champions league spots although they are in with a chance of Europa league qualification.
Would be the perfect opportunity for Mr Nourry to step in with some serious jargon - in the sense that a proper bid would force the club to weigh up the increased risk of relegation vs the club's financial predicament.
Arguable I think you're right - Marti now has options to play in different ways, press from the front via Hodge, get another experienced striker involved, more cover at DM. etc
I'm not saying they should sell - hope they don't, because as a supporter I'd rather not do anything that increases that risk. Plus I want to see the Illy & Andy show as said. But it would all need to be looked at before rejecting.

All of those can be true, kind of.
We’re a selling club if the price is right - which club isn’t?
We need to hang onto Chair to stay up, so he’s not for sale until the summer. If we were mid-table he might well have gone.
FFP applies until the end of this season because of the rolling losses issue and us losing so much in 21/22 when we tore up our strategy of building a team over time and funding this by developing players and selling them on.
We probably should have sold and invested at the beginning of last season but we promised that snake Beale that we’d hang onto players and invest in expensive loans to get him on board (I’m making this up but it sounds plausible!)
If we get to tbe end of the season in the Championship I think we’ll sell Chair and start again with Marti’s type of players (and pray to whatever god you believe in that he stays until the end of next season).
I know a couple of Turkish lads, and they've always told me that Trabzonspor supporters make Millwalls Harry the dog Treatment look like a Shocktrooper brigade of Barry the ballroom dancer from Hi-di-hi, Marc Bolan and Michael Bentines pottymen.

Selling Chair, who is part of the core cadre we are reliant on keeping us up, after we are no longer able to use any money from the sale would be analogous to selling your house to stop your car getting repossessed.

Anyway, hope it's not true.
You're going to have to unpack that extended metaphor as I'm no wiser about Trabzonspor supporters

Personally i don't want to sell him yet, I'd happily keep him here for the next 10 years. It just feels like a bit of a U- turn from the club that was pleading poverty a few months ago.

TBH the idea that we were chucking everything overboard and preparing for League 1 was initiated by somebody attempting to be ITK when in all honesty nobody knew for sure but it was far more likely we would be trying to retain our Championship status if at all possible whilst staying within the 3 year FFP parameters.

Its a pity his one man attack on Bristol fans was stopped it would have been fun to see the reception he got from their first few rows . He then got escorted to the Millwall fans instead of being arrested and charged how things have changed
