Poll: What are we more excited for?

A good performance against a limited team. Done could have had a hat trick on his own. Rathbone, Camps, Morley and RND were very impressive. Both centre backs had efficient games as well.

On to Oxford, which will be a hard game, but confidence should be high.

As well as we’ve played all season, especially in terms of chances created and shots on goal. All of a sudden we are a threat from corners as Morley has a range of deliveries and it makes the opposition think. Done could have had a hat-trick and others will have thought they could have added to the scoreline too.

Also, notice that calmness around the place at the moment during games? Paul McShane. Three games, three wins, not one panic.

Really, really good performance. If you want to put a negative slant on it there could be a slight worry that we had so many good chances and only scored 2, but it was still a really enjoyable performance. MK Dons to their credit never gave up and tried hard, but they were poor - the gulf in class between the two sides was huge on the night. Realistically we should’ve won that about 6-0.

Rathbone was absolutely bloody sensational. Probably the best performance from a Dale player I’ve seen this season. He has the tenacity of Perkins, the workrate of Henderson, and the tippy-tappy trickiness of Will Buckley. Love the man.

RND was also brilliant. His willingness to get forward and his crossing are a joy to behold. Morley really impressive, he’s turning into a great playmaker. And Tavares had another good cameo - he already looks far more dangerous than Gillam ever has.

The only complaint you could possibly have with that game is that we should have been out of sight by half time. They were poor. That said, since Wimbledon, we have done what has been required and you can’t ask for more than that.

Now the true test begins and where we sit after this next round of games will be a true reflection of how far we’ve come and what will be needed in January. In an ideal world, we will get people off the books who are no longer needed/don’t want to be here and replace them on the wage bill with those who are and do.

Great performance against a poor MK Done team. We should have had a hat full. Midfield looked cohesive. McShane and O’Connell look like they’ll be a great partnership. I think Norrington-Davies might be the best full back I’ve seen in a Dale shirt in the 25+ years I’ve been watching. For a 19 year old to play as often and as well as he is doing is unbelievable.

Some excellent performances from Dale, against a much below par MKDons side...poorest I can remember seeing them, with not an ounce of encouragement from their bench,. Wonder if Tisdale could be out of a job soon based on that.

Special mentions for Rathbone, Camps and especially Morley , whilst the back line had a relatively comfortable night,.

Sorry to single any players out for sub par performances, but Done wasted three glorious chances, and looks completely devoid of confidence.

Three wins on the bounce now. No coincidence that O'Connell and McShane playing have coincided with this run.

Thanks. I'm sure we could identify where we need strengthening and speculate who might be offloaded. Lillis, Delaney and Andrew probably fit into the later category.

First league game I've been to this season tonight (former regular but can't go most games now due to work). Went to United but hard to form a judgement off a game like that.

I have to say I was extremely impressed with the way we moved the ball and the commitment we showed to keeping it on the deck where possible. Granted, we didn't have as much of it as perhaps we have in other games but we controlled the game without the ball and when we got it back, we caused them all sorts of problems.

Impressed with the McShane-O'Connell partnership. Both look completely unnerved and while McShane may not have the legs he used to have, he reads the game so well and tends to be two yards ahead in his brain.

RND was superb in both attack and defence, Morley's range of passing is quite extraordinary (he seems to have put a lot of size on, too) but Rathbone was absolutely outstanding. Where on earth does he get his engine from?

Hendo was Hendo, Done will probably be disappointed he hasn't scored and Tavares looked lively.

Not entirely convinced by Keohane or MJ - think the latter slowed us down a bit too much.

For me, I am happy to accept that with this style of play, we are not always going to get it right and we may cop some stuffings (Peterborough for example) but when it all clicks, we are going to dish out some hammerings of our own.

Overall, I'm confident we have more than enough to finish comfortably clear of relegation on that evidence.

Up the Dale!

Playing as a team.

Great to hear McShane shouting out play options to Morley, Rathbone and the other defenders. Also having the experience of Captain Hendo upfront, there is great teamwork all over the pitch.

At the final whistle, for those that hung around saw ALL the Dale players, did a mini lap and applauded the Dale support. In return, they were given back the praise.

Good times!

Good call. Forget B.O.B. we need B.O.N.D. Buy our Norrington-Davies

Twitter have given the goal to Done. Harsh. It looked like it may have deflected off him but it was Camps’ volley. Would need to see it again.

Best performance of the season so far.

MK looked shot of confidence but don't let that detract from what was a pretty complete performance.

If Matty Done had his shooting boots on we would have been home and hosed at the half time break.

Excellent last night and very pleased Camps given the goal what a strike!

MK should request that Rathbone is drug tested - MOM for me absolutely superb.

19 points on the board and now looking forward to the Oxford game.

Up the Dale!.

I'm still exhilarated from last night but mention earlier in the thread about next January's transfer window makes me a trifle apprehensive rather than anticipatary.
No-one doubts that in an ideal world that we would like two in and two out.
My concern is that the two (or three) leaving may be from O'Connell/McShane/Rathbone/Camps/Matheson/Morley given their form and their ability to command an undisclosed fee/£300k (delete as appropriate).
Have our board got the b@lls to repel boarders?

I think it's quite bizarre that Rochdale fc Twitter even announced that Done had scored the goal, you couldn't see anyone had touched Camp's wonderful volley on the way in, you can't seen any deflection on the tv footage either? To say it was Done's goal was completely stupid.

Its a BRILLIANT goal to cap a BRILLIANT start by Rochdale - Don Goodman 26/08/10
