Good news for him. Has played 11 games (5 goals) for the under 23s this season but hasn't played in a competitive game for about 3 months ( not withstanding 30 seconds in a blink and you'll miss it appearance for the first team). I hope he does well, he's a very talented midfielder despite our website listing him as a forward on the website.

Good news for him, he looks a hell of a prospect.
Leaves us with very few options on the bench.
With four players due back over the next few weeks and Manning recalled, places on the bench will be at a premium.
I can see a bench of seven from Ingram, Rangell, Hall, Scowen, Cousins, Manning, BOS, Smith, Hemed. No space for young players.
I think it's better that he goes and plays some games and comes back ready to go next season. Hope we manage to get games for a few more as well. Kakay? (if he hasn't already got a loan) Phillips, Hamalainen etc.

I'd have liked to see him come on a bit more often and early for Eze in recent weeks, but if he's not going to do that then fair enough - let's sharpen him up for next season.

I fear for his future. Recall a promising Bruno Andrade loaned to an, at the time, poorly performing Wycombe at the wrong end of League Two and his career went non league from there and, despite proving a decent player at Borehamwood, and now Lincoln, you suspect the loan has somewhat stigmatised his subsequent career.
Be interesting to see how many games he gets before warming their bench.

I disagree with the lack of space for him on the bench - I think he offers something different to the others you've listed. Cousins, Scowen, Manning are all CMs, BOS is the only wide option, and Smith/Hemed out and out forwards. None of them would really be a suitable alternative for Eze who, as we know, has looked a bit knackered recently having been flogged this season, so could potentially do with a bit of a rest. Freeman also has played constantly, so could again do with a rest.
All that being said, we aren't actually gunning for anything this season and the play-offs are looking a lot less attainable than a month ago. In the circumstances, 6 months playing games in a physical division should do the kids a lot of good, so I'm all for it.

What on earth is he going to learn at Stevenage?

Didnt do Freeman any harm going on loan to Stevenage when he was younger....

Presumably the same that Lumley, Furlong and Eze all learnt during loan spells in League 2 that saw them come back and become first team players

He'll learn plenty playing regular football in matches that matter rather than sit on our bench.

That makes sense and respect what Aston and Buck say.
If I recall, Freeman was in a much better Stevenage team and Eze at a Wycombe side in top six, that makes a lot of difference.
Vaguely recall this Stevenage side are trying to play to feet, though could be mixing them up, which would suit his game, but it does seem a drop too far to me.

Fair challenge, but I do think more playing time in a tough league will help develop him.
Its true there are examples of players where loan spells haven't helped them. By the same token others (Furlong, Lumley, Eze) have developed as a consequence

If he's not good enough to start at Stevenage, do you think he's good enough to be playing regularly two divsions higher?
He's clearly better off playing at Stevenage than getting the odd 5-10 minute cameo for rangers
Chair, more than any other player in the squad, needs a loan move:
-he can play as a 10, but he also can be deployed as a central midfielder, who collects the ball and moves it around with short passes (in the mold of a player like modric). but does he have the physicality and presence to do the other things required to play in central midfield? the loan will tell us if he can handle the dirty work of a CM, or if he has to be a 10
-he's 5'2 and looks like one of Christopher moltisantis guido friends from the sopranos. does he have the stones to deal with the abuse he's going to get from away fans for being that small?
the only way we can tell if this player can be something is to actually see how he does when tested

True, when you count them up, we should be ok.

Stevenage are in a playoff race, their upcoming games have meaning and won't be a walk in the park.

If the loans don't work out we'll know more than we would find out from half a season of U23 games. If they do, we get back a player better suited to Championship football.

As a local lad I have family and friends who go to Stevenage.
This year they have been very inconsistent and a mate who is a ST holder has said the Football has been pretty shocking! They have made 4 loan signings this window.
Their Chairman come out yesterday said the following ( i would assume and hope that Chair is the 1 out of 4 without the option)
"Joining the club on loan until the end of the season is Callum Dyson from Plymouth, Elijah Adebayo from Fulham, Ilias Chair from QPR and Jordan Gibson from Bradford.
Importantly, Stevenage will have an option-to-buy for three of the four players and Chairman Phil Wallace says that it was vital the club brought in some new forward options"
