Today's win 17:17 - Jan 30 with 10896 views442Dale

Great three points. We looked comfortable going forward, confident we could get at them. At the back the centre halves looked nervous as hell but were aided by good displays by the returning Rafferty and Kennedy. The decision making of both Lancashire and McNulty was unsure at best.

Get Syers fit and he'll be an asset, fits in to the way we play. He linked well with the likes of Henderson and Camps. Not at all convinced with playing Allen out wide but he did a job and we won.

Any news on McDermott and Rose falling completely out of the 16?

On the other hand I suppose Hill could rightly say we've played both Walsall and Burton top of the league, won both games and conceded 1 goal.

But he didn't. He found himself having to mouth off about crises, having conceded six the previous week, and three at home before that against a team struggling to escape the bottom four.

We are mid table league one its not perfect but please try to put it in context. These are great days. We can beat anyone in this league we are in the black and that's good enough for me.

It's fair comment, but you're making it to people who understand that.

Does that mean we shouldn't strive to do better, if possible?

Fantastic win.

3 valuable points chalked up towards the 52 required.

That's 10 wins now by the end of Jan. #abovebury

Regards to hilly he knows we are in a "marriage" there will be a few ups and down and cross falling outs as we go along the way.

You do realise I didn't take it personally?

It was a simple response to a fellow Dale fan on what Hill actually said rather than what he might have said.

Just saying.

You're probably right, but when one idiot is in your face verbally abusing you, it has a more powerful effect and probably makes him feel aggrieved.

I would asdvise him to toughen the fk up and stop worrying over what one idiot said to him.....

You're entitled to your opinion, of course.

When or if a complete stranger abuses you to your face, immediately after a great disaapointment has just happened to you, jjust remember your own advice.

I think if Hill had come out and said he was abused by one fan and wasn't happy, we 'd all be fine with that.

His comments were more vague and implied someone, or somebodies, were trying to convince the players he was about to be sacked and that there was a crisis within the club.

Who are these people?

Ahhh that's all well and good but I would like to think that I would be thick skinned enough to deal with it, not give a press interview and act as if the world and its granddad was out to get me. Either that or give said idiot and quick smack in the mouth...something obviously Hilly can't do in the situation.....

Having listened to Hill's comments I struggle to understand where he is coming from and I wish one of the people interviewing him would ask for clarity when he makes these comments.

He references an overreaction to the 6-1 result, people trying to convince the players his job was under threat, people saying there was a crisis at the club and him having to manage expectations.

Who are these people he refers to? It would be good to know.

As for managing expectations, I'm very realistic about Dale, always have been, but I do expect a Keith Hill side not to concede six in one game. There was no overreaction on here to the result, other than from trolls. There was simply an expected downbeat response that such a drubbing would produce.

It's a shame Hill says these things because we end up discussing them instead of a terrific result.

Agree with you Fitz, no-one has the b@lls to ask 'Who are you talking about Keith?' which is a real shame because this is the kind of guff that eventually makes it into the news and the national press can easily pick up on it. Suddenly we are news for the wrong reasons again.

It's either that or any of the following:

My philosophy and strategy
What we're trying to build and achieve
What this club was and what it is now
Overachieving
League 2 budget.........zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
The fans
The officials

Can there be a separate prediction league for Hill's interviews....or a 'Hilly Bingo'..? :-)

Have read a lot on this thread and others about KH post match comments, Flicker gaffs etc etc. ....
.... in the world of PC, fines by the league, football cliché poured upon cliché, agendas, BS to mention but a few of the tools (pun intended) managers use to construct their interview responses from, I am struggling to remember the last time I heard a decent interview. Which is why I stopped listening a long time ago.
Curious to know if there are any left who actually do decent interviews these day (since Kevin Keegan retired??
