Chaz staying on 08:59 - Oct 27 with 2637 views | bosh67 | Nice interview. He's very impressive in that he is extremely mature for his age. He really has his head screwed on. Great that he's doing the football school for all kids 5-15. He really is a bit of a throwback as a player and character. Proud to have him at my club.

Chaz staying on 14:44 - Oct 27 with 2176 views | Juzzie | Or the bigger salary as the buying club won't have to pay a transfer fee. In situations like this the buying club doesn't gain, the club a player was at loses out. The only winner is always the player and his agent.

Chaz staying on 17:32 - Oct 27 with 1925 views | richpr | Absolute b*llsh*t - you tell me he would rather work with CR than a Premiership coach - not on your nellie. 1. He doesn't want to be a Geordie 2. Instead of the Rs getting a fee for him, Austin will get a massive salary For staying an extra 4 months he can go on a free and choose which part of the UK he wants to play in. He's not stupid Absolute shocker played by Les Ferdinand etc. - a mid-table finish and no £15m | | | | Login to get fewer ads

So Charlie Austin is a liar.? No one came in for him in the summer. I'm glad he's with us this season banging goals in. Didn't Danny Ings do the same thing last season? Burnley aren't to daft when it comes to running the football club.

I know everyone sees things in different ways, but I like my naivety and wanting to believe things aren't as bad as some think they are. I am really proud to have Charlie at our club. He is an excellent role model for my sons. He has worked his way up through the game, shown loyalty to clubs he has played at and his decisions over the summer, with reference that what was right for him, his career and his family should be lauded, IMO. I actually think he has become a far better player under the tutelage of CR and adding to his reputation as a top striker. As far as CR is concerned, I tend to pay more attention to what those in the game say than necessarily those who arent involved. I dont think there is much doubt that he is a good coach, maybe a top coach. He has as yet to prove if he can step up to be a good or top manager, but I also dont think he is doing too badly... but views on this are very polarised. As for Chaz's interview. Perhaps it was prepared, perhaps it is bullshit, but he strikes me as a very honest, hard working, fair and loyal individual. I am glad he stayed and I hope he continues to benefit from that decision. I can think of far worse ones he could have made Les setting a price that the club felt was right and not moving on it will also be good for years to come, as the club can not be seen as a pushover, either from a buying point of view or selling Right or wrong, those are what I believe, anyway
Chaz staying on 19:02 - Oct 27 with 1742 views | Lblock | Look I'll be gutted to see the going of him and even more so if it's for nish. However, I just hope in the months he's left with us we get to see Lord Charles in full flight and banging in some crackers. I'll support him forever more.

Chaz staying on 19:45 - Oct 27 with 1668 views | HollowayRanger | clubs fault let his contract run down should have been extended when we were promoted or that January at the latest, once he wasn't sold in the close season there was no way he would sign a new deal no player would when just 4 months later he can cut QPR out of any deal and grab a massive signing on fee

"a mid-table finish..." Don't you think you are being a bit premature? There's 33 games to go before the 'finish'. "...and no £15m" Well, you're dead right there. Nobody offered £15m.

I wasn't being negative about him. I'm just saying that I don't believe he stayed because of our coaches. I'm not knocking him if he goes on a free and gets a big signing on fee. He has been loyal to us and always gives 100%. That's football nowadays and the club has to take responsibility for allowing our prized asset to leave for nothing. I don't think that by not budging on the price tag will make any difference as to how other clubs deal with us in the future. All it means is that we have lost the chance to recoup some money and have added to our ever growing debt.

Agree 100% - if he loved QPR and our world-class coaching staff so much then I welcome him signing a new contract in the summer - me thinks / knows this will not happen. At the end of the day, in the cold light of dawn, we all know he will go in the summer and QPR will be in deep financial doodoo. Don't get me wrong, Charlie has been fantastic for us - is a nice bloke and an excellent role model to the youngsters - but we shouldn't get too carried away about loyalty etc. cos he is going and our kids will soon take down his picture off the wall.
