I went down the ground yesterday after work and met a mate to lay some flowers. The tributes are slowly building up. I am not sure that the club have made this known. Many people don’t live close to the bush. Maybe the club could set up a donation page for an Alzheimer’s charity.
So I’m planning on going away in May. Like everyone I wondered for a second about the playoffs and I stress the term a second. I noticed the final league fixture is May 6th and the Play off final is May 29th. Seems like a big gap.
The situation that we are in now is difficult to predict. There are so many unknowns:
Teams have lost momentum There are questions about fitness Will the playing surfaces be good if grounds men have been furloughed 5 subs is something we’ve never seen Removal of home advantage
So who’s going . four of us are heading out to Porto on the Wednesday. We’ll probably do some rambling and visit a few places of historical significance before taking the train to guillarmaries the next day. We could have a spare ticket.
Ok I’ll start who on here has deliberately not gone back to their seat in the second half opting to have another couple of drinks watching the game on the plasma screen in the blue and white. There’s 2 here and sometimes in the second half that place has been busy.
Firstly apologies if this has already been covered .I was there yesterday. I admit my thinking skills were slightly impaired on account of time spent in the Rutland and the journey up but why are we bringing Smith on. I can only assume it’s a last roll of the dice in the hope that he connects with cross. He’s served us well but can’t really cover any ground.
Yesterday I went out around golden square/brewer street for late boozy birthday lunch followed by some bar hopping. My question is when was soccer scene in carnaby street replaced by MAC the cosmetics shop.
A pal of mine supports Villa. He is nice bloke but he really is deluded. I keep pointing out that your a basket case of a club.
There was tweet going around following on from Bruce’s departure that Ferguson would come out of retirement because they are one of the few clubs big enough.
I’ve disliked this lot ever since the replay at Highbury and now just to compound things they’ve appointed the racist. Get on your feet and don’t stop. Get behind the Rs and remind the racist of what an insignificant imbecile he is.
Here we are sixth in championship. The team can't step up for a derby but Stephen caulker getting minutes is a positive. Another Holloways post match pearl of wisdom is that we need to dust ourselves down and go again. I am sick of his platitudes and annoyed at the shambles of a performance in a derby AGAIN.
I am a bit out of touch at the moment. Who have we signed other than Scowen. I have read that Conley has penned a one year deal. I have also read that the young lad we signed from Millwall has been doing well. Please forgive me as I know I'm being lazy but what's the situation with Smithies and is Bowler still with us. Lastly how do you see us lining up.
I saw an excellent QPR banner with Stan Bowles on it at the stone roses. I have also seen a QPR Stan Bowles flag at Glastonbury. Are we getting the flags out for Stan?
I'm off to HQ to renew our three tickets. These are shared between my brother and me and my three nephews. I have little confidence in Holloway so it follows that we'll probably make the bloody play offs.
I have posted for a while but it's got to be said. Holloways is on a one point per game ratio. That's 46 points per season that's nailed on relegation form. I don't think we'll be relegated but Holloway would have noticed the pathetic performance against Brentford at home. Holloway and this group of players do not need another show of inexplicable rotational nonsense. These players need to be up for it and Holloway needs to have his game head on .FFS it's Brentford they didn't play us between 1967 and 2001 and i'll let you work out why. I suggest an early start for all that are attending.
Yesterday was my birthday and I am holiday with my wife. We are in Phuket which is clearly popular with Russians families. The Russian blokes all have big arms and large chests but judging by the size of their derbies I suspect more of a liking for anabolic steroids rather than a cardio vascular training avoidance. Anyway last night we walked into this bar where you are greeted by a group of woman screeching sawadika and where you from. The place is quite empty apart from 2 blokes playing pool. I am trying to decide between a phuket paradise a camp looking electric blue drink or a happy all day beer when this fella says do you play pool. I reply yes but fail to mention the operative term poorly. He asks where I am from and then says what team do I support. Oddly I respond by saying my team are not in the premiership and says neither are my English team. I ask him who his English team is and he says Queeens Park Rangers. The bloke is from Gothenburg and we spent the next half hour talking about Rangers. He spoke about all his trips to loftus road and Zamoras goal. He still noticed how bad I was at pool.
So who was there on the 17th of April 1976 in the caged pen at Carrow road when were as close as we have ever been to winning the football league. I remember getting a special train from Wembley Central. It was our last away game of the season and 41 years later Norwich is our last away game. There will be no special train but will we need something to survive ?
