I am currently looking for some ex players to interview for TVOS. I have found quite a few via social media however I was wondering if anyone knew any ex players personally that I could get in touch with? Any era would be good!! Cheers
I generally just read on here rather than post but I really feel the need to say my bit.
Firstly I thought some of the things that Hilly said in his interview were out of order. You cant slate fans that go to games week in week out just because a few people jeered. I personally did not and would not boo my own team during a game however people are frustrated at the moment with performances and I think the some fans do feel let down by some recent performances. The Bury game really left me considering where we actually were as a team and the first 20 minutes on Saturday were on par with that performance. However once we sorted ourselves out I think we showed that we are good team and deserve to be where we are in the league. However I do agree with what he said about supporters singing when we are winning. On Saturday as at most games it was completely silent. I sit in the Pearl St end and at one point I could even hear the buzz of the tannoy which is dire. I think we really need to generate more atmosphere inside the ground and get the players up for it more! A great example are the Palace fans. I watched thier game on Sky a couple of weeks ago and their fans were singing from the first minute of the game and I dont think they stopped to be honest! So come on from the first minute on Saturday lets make sure we are fully behind the lads and get some atmosphere going! Surely everyone will be in good spirits as its Boxing Day so it should be easy! KEITH HILLS BARMY ARMY!
Just been to renew my season ticket and Stephen Dawson called in. Looked like he was saying his goodbyes. As he came out I waved at him and without hesitation came straight over. We spoke for a few minutes about last season and I wished him luck for next season and he basically said that he couldn't turn the money down he had been offered. Said that he had to take it for the sake of his kids and that he's now 29 and not got that much longer left. He also said that if he was financially secure he would have stayed at Dale for the rest of his career because he loved his time here.
I don't often post on here but thought I would on this occasion.
This has been mentioned a couple of weeks ago I believe but I think an applause for the last 10 mins of the game tomorrow would be great. Whatever happens in the last two games this season has been amazing and better than anyone expected.
If not applause maybe constant singing of Keith hills barmy army for first 10 and last 10.
Great idea on here in the Joey t thread regarding a minutes applause in the 15th minute... I have been trying to spread the word on twitter and have also asked Dave sweetmore to announce before the game that this will be taking place .... He's having to ask the boss but if he says it's ok then he will do...
We really need to spread the word about this and in the 15th minute lets all be #togetherforthompson
