| Forum Thread | Anybody after a lift to Southend? at 16:22 19 Dec 2013
Got a spare seat for the trip to Southend tomorrow, thanks to At The Peake being an unreliable bell end. If anyone wants it reply on here or DM me. Cheers. (No receipt photographers please) |

Thought I'd make a thread about this to see what sort of response it gets. Me and a few mates have decided we're going to go in the Willbutts Lane for the Cheltenham game. The thinking is that, as we all know, the noise that can be made in there is a lot better than the other stands, and we think that this is a time where the team needs as much support as we can give them. Basically I'm just trying to encourage anyone who feels the same way to join us in there. Let's really make an effort and get behind them. We call ourselves Rochdale supporters...so let's support them! |

what time the turnstiles shut during night games? New job has me finishing at 8 on Tuesdays, should be there before half time, I should be ok right? |

Gutted I can't go tonight, suppose this is the 2nd best thing. Anyone else going to be listening on GMR? Going to hold back on any predictions until we get some team news but if they play a weakened team we may just get something... |

I assume Trotman will miss the QPR match? Or is the rule that the suspension comes into effect after 7 days? I know this gets asked every time we have a player sent off! Just bringing it up because, obviously even if he can play he should be dropped, but will Balkestein be available? He may have played in the first round for Brentford, or they may not allow us to use him in the cup. It's alright anyway, Jordan Fagbola must be really good with a name like that. |

I can only presume that there hasn't been a thread about it yet because everyone who was there is too hungover. Absolutely fantastic night, as usual. The players were all very approachable, friendly and down to earth, as usual. I tried and failed to come on to most of them, as usual. Special mention to Craig Dawson, who took the time to have a chat with pretty much everybody there, had a fair bit of banter too. Brilliant night all round. |
| Forum Thread | Too soon to go up?? at 14:32 10 Apr 2011
Had a brief discussion about this yesterday. I've heard a few people say that if we do manage to go up this season, we would be battered week in week out in the Championship and relegated straight away, so it would be better to remain in League 1, build a more solid foundation etc and then have a real crack it. I understand that viewpoint, but I completely disagree with it. Obviously the odds would be massively stacked against us in the Championship, but I would rather go up, experience that level of football and stadia and come straight back down than never have it at all. And you just never know - I would never write off this side under Hillcroft. Plus, if we don't go up, I wouldn't be surprised if Hill and Flicker move on to bigger and better things - will we ever get another opportunity like this under another manager? But, if we did achieve promotion, I'd like to think that they would stay for another season and have a crack at keeping us up. |

...was absolutely immense yesterday - just as he has been all season. It's incredible how he combines such brute strength and immaculate control. Am I right in thinking that when he was subbed off yesterday in injury time, it was the first time all season that he hasn't played every minute of every game? |

Scott Wiseman's getting a lot of praise in another thread, I figure his form of late warrants his own thread. He's been absoluely fantastic, at times he's been like a right winger - I'm sure he could actually do a job there if needed. I don't agree with a couple of comments saying that he's not the best defensively. Sure he can occasionally be caught up the other end of the pitch, but he always gets back (thanks to his blistering pace) and when he is back he doesn't often get beaten by his winger. Top, top stuff from him so far. |

There's no 'Sign up to receive Rochdale AFC club texts to keep up with breaking news' story on the O/S. So no point getting our hopes up! |

I went to the game today, in the home end. Got to say that FCUM fans are quality, a large number of them singing constantly. I liked a few of their songs too, original and they sound very good. As for the team, I don't know whether today was a one-off performance but they definitely didn't look like a non-league team, they were quick, strong, skilful and dangerous, and deserved the win. I don't think we could have got a much tastier draw, looking forward to the tie very much now. |
