The report of that run is what's made me smile most tonight. There is so much triangulated passing at all levels of football now in build up play, that the art of dribbling (and defending it) seemed to be dying out. Does my heart good to know we have one. Fully agree - more please

Agree about the art of dribbling but equally importantly Odoh's harrying persistence in the 2nd half (against bigger opponents) put us on the front foot for that last 20 mins of dominance.

Eighth consecutive season in this draw for the duffers.

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

Rodney looked isolated first half. Second half Tulloch, Sinclair, Odoh, Seriki, and John were there for support and it showed. Really impressive. Hopefully we set up with this in mind from the start against Grimsby.

Watched from the main stand for the first time in a long time. I'll always prefer standing at football but the view from the main stand gives you a totally different perspective.

Noise from the Sandy was absolutely brilliant. Great work! As others have said, I hope it continues to be a source of atmosphere without anybody seeing it as a chance to be a pillock.

My main concern going into the season was that the chicken kadai pies might have changed but I'm pleased to report they are still absolutely excellent.

The bloke who ran on the pitch had been acting like a prize knob all game. It's very poor form to run on the pitch during the minutes applause for Moggy.

Would love to see Odoh getting into the box even more often - like Stirling and Grealish his ball skills and determination would win a number of penalties during the season.
Up the Dale.

I'd just like to thank the Dale fans in the Sandy Lane, on Tuesday night.
Not only did they pay huge respect for Moggy, but the atmosphere generated by them equated to a 12th Man.
More of the same on Saturday please!

Play like this every week and we will be fine.

My MOM was Rodney but no issue at all with it going to Odoh.

The question is can they reproduce that level of performance on a 44 game basis.... If we do we will be at the top end of the table in no time.

That's the key I think consistency. The effort and work rate was fantastic Tuesday and this should be the benchmark for all remaining games.

I think I watched a different game.
Sorry to be negative after what was a very welcome result.

Burton controlled the game for 70 minutes, mainly because we had no central midfield capable of receiving and distributing the ball moving forward. In defence fine, but Rodney, who is a great find, was totally isolated for most of the match.

Can we afford to have 2 defensive midfielders in our home games in particular? Even the much unlamented Dooley did collect the ball and try to move it through midfield.

Giving up central midfield to a more attacking team than Burton would seem crazy to me.

Big positives- Nelson looks excellent, Odoh is a star and always creates problems- remember he is only 22. Rodney will be a handful for any defense, but he must have support.

Agree about the defensive midfield and the fact a better team would have offered more of a threat against this system, but to say Burton controlled anything after half time is stretching it.

What they did was look like we have previously ie having decent amounts of possession and doing the sum total of rock all with it. Actually thought for the first time in a while Dale made their possession count after half time, especially moving well in wide areas and creating chances. Some positives for sure and, as others have pointed out, the effort alone will see off a chunk of our L2 opponents if replicated.
