Welcome to Rochdale: Travelling Tottenham Hotspur Fans Guide 00:17 - Feb 11 with 23487 views | Daley_Lama | Hi All (Dale Fans) As we all know, there will be approximately 3500 Tottenham Hotspur fans making their way from Wembley up to Rochdale next Saturday. As most of us know, the tradition of RAFC and Rochdale fans is to be as welcoming, helpful and charming as possibly possible. I think it is important that we therefore have a thread that follows this long held belief. So here it is. Please post tips and advice as best as you can

Welcome to Rochdale: Travelling Tottenham Hotspur Fans Guide on 11:20 - Feb 12 with 3960 views | TTNYear | Tip 69 (subsection 3.3) Friendliness - Don't be surprised if locals converse with you, even though they don't know you, in a social situation e.g. a pub, standing a queue in the 'chippy' (see tip 201). They are not trying to rob you, this is just a northerners way. Please be civil back and everything will be grand (ok). Tip 201 The Chippy - Yes we have that stuff that Peter Kay based pretty much a whole routine on in his early years. Gravy. Although you will be hard pushed to find such abominations like saveloys (just order a sausage if you get yourself in a panic) and pickled eggs. Please note - It's a chip butty, not a barm or any other such derivative. This will quicken up the ordering process and ensure you can escape the northerner who has now started to ask 'When did you set off then?', and other such 'prying' questions

Welcome to Rochdale: Travelling Tottenham Hotspur Fans Guide on 08:30 - Feb 12 by chalkyncfc | I tried googling the answer to this but couldn't find it,why have Dale got a dragon as a mascot? |
I know this one! Circa 1992-3 was the era of every club adopting some fluffy costume in order for some nomark to wander aimlessly around for 30 minutes before kick-off. It was the craze of that era super-ceding the inflatable craze, and preceding the giant flag craze. The Club Sec of that era wanted for reasons unknown to order a Duck outfit and call our mascot Daley the Duck. When it was pointed out to him that there was an unfortunate rhyming problem with this that might be inappropriate in conjunction with kids the Duck idea was scrapped! Back to square 1. And then, some company who the Sponsorship Manager knew in Rossendale let on that they had this green dragon outfit they no longer needed and we could have it for a couple of match tickets i.e for free. Given that we had literally duck all in those days, the club seized at the offer and so Desmond was born. It really is that simple and boring!

Welcome to Rochdale: Travelling Tottenham Hotspur Fans Guide on 13:50 - Feb 12 with 3706 views | chalkyncfc | Thanks for the reply and the answer is far from boring, its great having a mascot that got no direct link with the club, makes supporters think about it when they see him before a game,99% of mascots you could guess who they belonged to just by looking at a photo | | | | Login to get fewer ads

As of now (tuesday afternoon) there does not seem any mention of the Dale fixture on the Spurs ticket website, which seems a bit strange! http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/tickets/

Welcome to Rochdale: Travelling Tottenham Hotspur Fans Guide on 16:49 - Feb 12 with 3416 views | chalkyncfc | Most important tip If the game should go into a replay could you please make sure that the match is pay on the gate as this would stop dozens of Daley's walking around the ground confused and complaining about it not being advertised as being 'all ticket'

All tickets were allocated to ST holders who had to apply (by replying to an e-mail?) based on points apparently. All sold out. None went on general sale. [Post edited 12 Feb 2018 16:51]

Welcome to Rochdale: Travelling Tottenham Hotspur Fans Guide on 21:29 - Feb 12 with 3077 views | soulboy | Tip 15000, When you hear the stadium announcer bawl out ( usually as the team is running out for the start of the 2nd half) "Rochdale Football Club" only the team will run out, not the directors, office staff, scouts, reserve team players and staff, etc. It does my head in every time i hear it!

Welcome to Rochdale: Travelling Tottenham Hotspur Fans Guide on 23:42 - Feb 12 with 2894 views | Bendy | Tip Summat’other If you are travelling via Manchester and getting up north early the National Football Museum is worth a look around. It’s open from 10am, free to look around (donations welcome) and is a two minute walk from Victoria Station (the Manchester one obviously). And if you do go via Manchester don’t panic when you see what appears to be a city which looks like 90% of the people are missing and you can generally walk in a straight line without constantly navigating around 50 people heading towards you.
Welcome to Rochdale: Travelling Tottenham Hotspur Fans Guide on 09:00 - Feb 13 with 2724 views | KenBoon | Tip 8765: For the #refugeeswelcome supporters amongst you. There are ACTUAL Syrian refugees in Rochdale. I believe most of them live on an estate not far from the ground. Feel free to find them, tell them how brave they are and get a selfie for your social media. All the refugees I've met were very nice (joking about the selfie and social media bit)

Yes, you will probably a visit to the National "Football" Museum enjoyable, as you support a premier league team and 90% of it covers the premier league. Sadly, i wasnt surprised by that on my visit there.
Welcome to Rochdale: Travelling Tottenham Hotspur Fans Guide on 12:58 - Feb 13 with 2472 views | boromat | For those worried about getting to the ground from Manchester if there's 4 of you just order a taxi/uber. Everything other than a black cab would probably cost £30 (estimate).
