Does anyone know whats happening at Hornets? Theres been no mention of them in the Observer for the last 3 weeks to my knowledge. Admittedly they've not had much to shout about this season, and in their last 3 games they've been hammered but at least you would expect the local paper would give them some coverage, or have they gone bust?
I have just seen in the Observer that long standing and loyal Dale supporter Henry Conroy has passed away aged just 64. I've known Henry for over 40 years and his loyalty and commitment to The Dale was second to none, despite suffering from a terrible illness. He fought this with such dignity and courage and he will be sorely missed at The Dale. My symphony goes out to his family and loved ones. R.I.P.
A mate of mine, recently on holiday in Dartmouth bought a set of 4 Dale coasters, each with a different cover from a Dale programme, Torquay 84/85, Cambridge 74/75, Chesterfield 65/66 and Port Vale 6/11 no other date but I think it's season 82/83. I've never seen anything like this before, has anyone else?
Today is the 45th anniversary of what could be described as the saddest day in our history. Rock bottom of division 3 with only 2 wins all season, a ground that was an embarresment, and 588 supporters turn up on a Tuesday afternoon to so see us lose 2 0 to Cambridge who were also relegated that season. So, to those who come on here and constantly moan about the manager, players and club in general, try and imagine what it was like back then and thank your lucky stars.
In an era when we're always quick to slag footballers off for their behaviour, theres a lovely clip on the OS of Andy Cannon and Zach Clough visiting Redwood School today for the above.
Anyone thinking of watching "all" todays FA cup goals on the red buttton, stand by to be disappionted, Dale arent on it, but they do manage to show Luton v Wycombe, twice. Typical.

Ive tried several times to log onto the buckets fans network since Tuesday but when i click onto the various headings forum etc its just blank. . Does anyone know why this is, Im completely useless with technology so i apologise for my ignorance on it!
I caught the last few minutes on 5 live this evening of an interview with someone (cant remember his name) who was on trial at Dale after being on trial at Crewe. He said Vic Halom was the manager but didnt name the coach who he said had, along with several players, verbally ridiculed and threatened him as it was common knowledge he had been a victim of Bennells at Crewe. It was so bad he just left the club and turned his back on football for good. Can anyone remember who our was coach back then? It makes you think if this was known about throughout the club.
Ive just looked on the official site for details regarding tickets for the cup replay against Millwall. All i can see is ticket details for the first game, does anyone have any idea where the info is, or have the club just not put any details on the site?
A few weeks ago i posted on here a message regarding the fanzine EGP, today while rummaging through a few boxes of old Dale programmes i found 2 copies of a free newspaper called Dale News, # 3, Oct 1995 and # 4, Apr 1996. Both covered everything going on at the club in those days, with comments from both manager and captain, Junior Dale news etc and plenty of photos. # 3 had a couple of strange items, the history of Birch Radio and a feature about illegal drugs, with a lowdown on certain ones. How many issues were printed and does anyone have any for sale?
Did anyone see the strange cluster of about 5 bright lights miles up in the sky over Birch Hill about 5am today? Hardly the Patrick Moore method, but i found the binoculars and watched them go from a cluster into what looked like a straight line then back to a cluster and vice versa several times. It was in the same position in the sky for about 45 minutes then vanished.
