Oxford match thread.. on 16:59 - Sep 3 with 2629 views | Thacks_Rabbits | Hardly a shock. We invest sod all despite having funds for wages and signings. Only striker that will get close to 1 in every other game is Henderson who we play in midfield. I like the idea of paying over 10 months for season ticket as at least you can stop the direct debit after a month when the board and management show no ambition. Only positive is at least we won't go bust due to the frugal nature we run things. We will see sub 1500 crowds in league this season though if hill and the board continue the whole us and them stance. Shame really!

As an Exile, I can't get to many games so I follow the action on either this forum or BBC Sport's Live Text...... and it's getting very predictable. 87th minute a feee kick conceded in the Dale Half. 88th minute the opposition scores. I wish I could make a bet on it happening - I could live on the proceeds.

Oxford match thread.. on 17:08 - Sep 3 with 2300 views | Shun | Pretty frustrating, again. We were well on top all game, to the point where I even would've been disappointed with a draw. Yet another game we deserved to win but haven't got anything from, but then again I've said that quite a few times already this season. A welcome return for Vincenti who looked sharp when he came on. McDermott didn't do much. Oxford had their chances but, still, we were the better side and should've won it. Again.
Oxford match thread.. on 17:13 - Sep 3 with 2223 views | DaleFan7 | You don't deserve to win football matches if you can't score. We have 0 strikers that know where the net is and are completely toothless in front of goal. Don't worry though, only 5 months til January!

The goal didn't come from a free kick? Player ran wide and played dangerous ball into the box for Sercombe to score.

Oxford match thread.. on 17:18 - Sep 3 with 2142 views | Bazzanne | Keith can sprout the good squad to me till he's blue in the face, but I think with the squad we've got we are in deep trouble. Most clubs have strengthened their lists with good recruiting, we have gone backwards. Fans will not keep paying to watch a losing team for long and then the drop beckons.

Oxford match thread.. on 17:43 - Sep 3 with 1837 views | Shun | Really downheartened by that. I'm well aware of the difficulties of winning when we don't test the goalkeeper, but I have this naïve view that the better team should win football matches, yet so many times this season we've been the better side and either drawn or lost, as happened today. Come on, Keith, stop making me act like a moody teenager and vindicate my naïveté.

Sorry but "better teams" do score goals and or and don't conceed as many goals. The better teams find ways of winning or at least not losing. [Post edited 3 Sep 2016 17:57]

Oxford match thread.. on 18:07 - Sep 3 with 1623 views | JimmyRustler | Recruitment = Pish Tactics = Toilet Didn't improve on the squad. We're actually much worse off than last year with the players we've brought in and that's a worrying thought. Absolutely fuc king convinced Hill has lost the plot now and is nicely sabotaging just like he did at Barnsley. Why is Hendo not being played up front? There is no logical explanation for this anymore and it also means he occupies a CM spot for which someone else is more deserving/more capable of playing. Is he shagging Jim or what? He needs to be removed from the starting XI and be used as a backup CB (or maybe even first choice who knows). If Tanser doesn't start next game he needs to consider his options cause I'd have a floating turd in over Jim at the moment. Teams go through sticky spells. Sometimes it just won't fall right. HOWEVER, the least we can do is help ourselves by picking our best team and playing players in their rightful positions. Hendo is playing deeper than Ron fuc king Jeremy at the moment. It's an absolute disgrace.

100% agree. People are saying give him time. We cant give him time as he tries the same thing week in week out and teams no how to play against us. In previous seasons where we have done well we could of done even better if we kept a consistent performance going and conceeding stupid goals from silly errors and set pieces all the time. Also in we havent replaced our best players that have left in the last couple of season. what he has brought in is either nothing, youth or players that arnt even near the quality that left!!
